My bump in the left side of my neck is maybe 10 inches long or more it come down from behind my left ear and into my shoulder sort of following my collar bone and then the pains go into the shoulder and then the bump follows the big muscle in my shoulder "I have very very muscular shoulders" due to my old work years back...the back bump is like a huge comma thats laying flat and the round part is maybe 6 innches accross and pokes out about 1.1/2 inches and talking about that the right side shoulder feels lumpy now for gods sake.

This is how bad things have been wrong for us. The day of my wifes funeral I had the wig maker phone my home to ask what colour my wifes hair was...........she had passed away on the 25th of jan and they called me on the 12th of feb....her funeral was delayed due to the creamatorium had broken down for weeks and this council being what it is had ghosed the work out for repairs a few years before to a belgium company .........that went under just after

ps Sues funeral was the day before my birthday too................I told you my life story is unbeliveable

Regarding lumps - I've had a few and they've been harmless. The lumps 9cysts) I was born with are meant to be harmless. I say that, I now believe they're the reason why I'm sight impaired.

I think ALL lumps should be thoroughly investigated and be monitored - which is why I've advised BurlyB to keep on at them, till he is totally satisfied that more than one doctor has come to the same conclusion.

My Uncle was diagnosed with "harmless" polyps in his bowel, and had them for years - thankfully he continued to have them checked as they became cancerous, to which they were caught early and he recovered - although it did return again to which he battled it for a couple of more years, but it took him in the end.

He was a good old age mind you, however - had the polyps had not been monitored, he may have lost his life to cancer 15years earlier than necessary.

I can remember finding a few breast lumps when I was around 16, and my G.P.referred me to a specialist - I was told to lay on the bed stripped from the waist up, when the specialist came in the room joined by around 7 students! I wasn't even asked!

I didn't want to pull the sheet down, so he told the students to leave - he then said to me "what makes a young girl of your age think you could possibly have something sinister? Go home and come back to me in 20yrs time" :!:

My G.P.was not happy and sent me to a different specialist, I was diagnosed with "Fibroadenoma" - and because I had/have multiple fibroadenoma's they said I was at a higher risk of breast cancer, and was to attend the breast clinic every 12wks! Which involved having an xray, then am ultrasound, then if they found any changes you would be sent for a mammogram, then possibly a biopsy, and given your diagnosis at the end of clinic, I attended it for around a year, and thankfully never got past the ultrasound stage - but it was too much to see some women who were given not so good news, so I stopped going.

So I agree - all doctors should take ALL lumps seriously until proven otherwise.

Absolutely. I had a pionidal sinus some years ago. I saw a neurologist last year for an unrelated problem. He was shocked that it was never actually investigated. I was later told it can sometimes be a sign of mild spina bifida.

poor luv..........when my youngest was about 2 years old we would put him to bed and our elder son would pretend to go to bed too in his room but then sneak behind me while i'd tuck the younger one in ....sorted so we thought but every time i turned to go out of the room he'd get out of bed and be behind me when I'd be closing the child gate I made at his doorway so I'd have to go and lay on his bed with him untill I thought he's fell asleep and then I'd try to slip silently off the bed to the door and when I'd look back 9 times out of 10 he'd be awake and sitting up looking at me so I would do it all again only the mext time my wife woulf come up stairs maybe 2 hours later and see us both asleep on his little bed lol..............ahhhh like gold dust those memories ......my swear is for having to go GET the bliddy washing machine soon grrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh I feel for you Lexi! My friend who has 6, her youngest two being only 3yrs old goes through the exact same thing! She keeps asking to swap with me for a week  I know I'm laughing, but there are days when she is seriously exhausted :-( She can't remember the last time that she woke up naturally, or had a full nights sleep :|

What's making me swear today are the bees :| We're very much "all windows wide open" people - even in winter I like to have a window open even if it's just a tiny crack for ventilation (can't stand the thought of breathing the same air in all the time  ).

Anyway, we have a very thick honeysuckle that is the fastest growing honeysuckle I ever saw! It has taken over the whole of the back of our house, and almost half the side of it in just 3yrs, my OH has had to use garden twine to train it round the windows and side door - and as much as it looks stunning, and smells beautiful - the bees seem to think the same thing

They're just flying on in as if it's an open house party or something :!:

They're very lovely, but very large - and like I've said before, I won't kill bees - so I sort of look as if I have some sort of tourettes at the moment, they've turned me into a nervous wreck

Bless my OH though, he's so laid back, and just gently "guides" them back out

The weather. Just eugh.

My very posh neighbours Brothers 7yr old boy who doesn't seem to have one single manner - least of all a volume button! Thankfully he only visits now and again

Well, this little "treasure" says a particular swear word as if he has a gooseberry rammed in his throat........"Bar - st*rd" :!:

The Mother or Father don't even bat an eyelid

They have a younger baby too around 2yrs, and I'm yet to see it smile - it does those ear piercing high pitched screams, were they hold their breath for what seems like an eternity, then howls like a wounded animal as if it's had it's throat cut!

Although it only seems to do this every time the Mother puts it down - looks like she made that rod herself, but we all have to suffer for it!

Thankfully though it's only once in a blue moon - as I'm typing this they're packing the car up, the look of relief on my neighbours face is priceless

Good luck at the docs Owly! Bites can be bad - my Aunt was bitten by a horsefly on her face and her head swelled up so bad her doc wanted to hospitalise her!

Yes those dreaded horsefly bites are excruciating huh? They leave a terrible mark because the bite actually kills a little bit of the tissue - makes me feel sorry for horses!

And how small are the little creatures? They're very inconspicuous indeed!

I've been swearing today because of the farmers fields - what absolute stinkage :puke:

Just a bit of good news for Nystagmite!

Coming home to plymouth now. It should be coler there. Curently on a train running late with no a/c. Also nearly got ran over by cyclists this morning. They both went through a red light.

Yes it always is cooler by the coast, but you'll feel much more comfortable over this next few days anyway :-D I have trouble controlling my body temperature, both when it's too hot and when it's too cold - but at least when it's cold I can wrap myself up, turn up the heating and put the fire on - there's not much I can do in this weather! When my friend and his Wife lived in Dubai - they couldn't handle the heat here when they came to visit, which I found strange, but they said that over in Dubai they have air conditioning, and only really go from house/place to car and back when the weathers really hot over there! We should have it here

I also find that a lot (not all I might add as I know a few myself) can be quite inconsiderate on roads - one cyclist where we live almost killed himself one day though, he come flying round this blind corner in the town that has a pedestrian crossing on, and was about to shoot across it, when he hit a car that had parked on the crossing!

What's made me swear today, and I know I keep saying it - is irresponsible dog owners that don't think of the dogs needs, especially in weather like this! We have one dog that is locked in all day - and we can hear it just barking and howling all day long (it's not loud at all, it's just a shame for the dog) - then there's another one who leaves her dog out in the blazing sun all day in this weather with no shady place! The poor dog is obviously hot and narky, as he's running barking and growling at everything that goes by - and if he were to bite someone he'd be put to sleep :-x
