  1. Hi guys 4 years ago i took a loan out for my car i borrowed £7,500 paid it up last september, they asked me if i wanted to take out ppi but i told them no, is there still a possibility they could of added it without me knowing ? is it worth me checking to see if im owed anything
  2. Lee i thought this was sorted out. My payment didnt leave my bank until Wednesday due to the Bank Holiday so you should of got it by now at least Further payments will leave on 30th of the month Got a letter this morning saying i owe £567 and must pay it by a set day
  3. Well im £3.30 in credit now so dont have anything to worry about but like you said yeh they had it in advance.
  4. Hi guys Left Virgin last week and changed over to Sky due to the issues ive had with Virgin was the best thing i ever did, i had nothing but issues for the last 12 months i had more downtime than uptime, Well because of the issues someone at the Chief Executive office said i was able to cancel without penalty due to the issues im having. Now yesterday i received a bill for £49.99, then they want me to pay the 30 days notice even though this isnt my problem if anythign they should just be terminating the account, They cut my phone line they day i cancelled then billed me the £14.90 phone line rental then few days later my broadband and tv disconnected even though i still until April. I am fuming because i dont see why i shouild have to pay them nearly £110 for there f ups
  5. Ok spoke to Fiona today dont agree with whats happened though, they have provided me without a proper service for over 6- 12 months, intermittent, programs not recording on TiVo or partial record. She said i can cancel without penalty but..... there is always a but..... i have to pay this months bill which i dont mind paying but not the full amount due to the issues ive had, also they want 30 days notice aswell which is another month on top so basically is a penalty of nearly £100 to cancel Anyway i can dispute this and get out of this 30 day notice period, they have already disconnected my phone line which i was shocked about, I dont mind writing letters but dont see why i should have to pay 2 full months End of the day im only on JSA and moving over to Sky on Wednesday so the money i have at the moment will have to pay my first bill with sky as they take payment 2 weeks into your first bill.
  6. Thankyou Guys! Will you use your information provided will need to call retentions tommorow as they are closed today
  7. Understand fully what your saying but TV is just as bad plus sky is £16 a month cheaper I dont use my Internet a great deal just when I dk it never works
  8. I Sure am They have told me its high utilization in the area and estimated fix is May 2013 - July 2013 Should of been done in January Gets Worse in Peak Times these are some of the issues ive had with my internet lately Supposed to be on 60mb download 0.01 got stuck on during upload then wouldnt move
  9. Will do Cheers Im going to be speaking to her on Monday anyway so ill ask her to send me the written confirmation via email if she doesnt and she dont release me out of contract then ill threaten to seek with OFT and Ofcom as Ofcom will want virgin to provide proof that my connections have been fine throughout my contract
  10. Hi Thanks for the message, i spoke to Fiona and she said due to the problems with my internet connection i could take a credit of £8 per month half price broadband or i cancel without penalty last few nights my internet has been awful with loads of drop outs Im sure there is record on the account to why she added £8 per month credit Yes fiona from the CEO office stated there was high utilization in our area which should of been fixed in january from May last year but the problems are still ongoing
  11. Hi guys I took out a contract with Sky yesterday they are not due until Wednesday just wondering who do i contact at Virgin my contract doesn't end until June 2013 but ive been told by someone at the CEO office that i can cancel without penalty due to the nature of my problems with the broadband for well over a year now From what ive read on the internet you need to write in with 30 days notice but i dont see why i need to give 30 days end of the day they provide me with a crap service and will no doubt say they want £63.99 for the 30 days notice i give them, i feel this 30 days notice is some way of getting an extra month out of the customer, well i won't be able to afford the extra month as i am in my right to cancel and the money which was going to go on next months bill will be going to Sky for my services as they bill you a month in advance. Virgin did the same to me when i joined. Just wondering who do i write to, to confirm my cancellation.
  12. Hi Wondering if someone could help me out Just before christmas we phoned EDF to get rid of the pre payment meters we was on as they was costing a fortune, so we phoned one of there agents about paying by direct debit instead, He said yes no problem we can get them changed for you and we can put you on the Blue Price Promise 2014 Fixed, so we said ok great where there was a saving of £161 a year. So we changed our meters on the 17th January 2013 all was good until we got our bills yesterday £92 for the Electric and £81 for the Gas we thought hang on a minute there is no saving here its costing us more, so today got the phone to EDF they said that there was no record of us speaking to another agent when we changed over the meters therefore we was put on the standard tariff I asked them to ammend this months payment plan to the blue price plan as i am not paying £174 for 2 bills at EDF's fault. What can i do here ? Also took me 5 weeks to sort our accounts out online as there engineers didnt do the job properly. Also we lost our 12% discount per month as there was no direct debit set up this was because the account wasnt set up in time
  13. Thanks for your help once again DX
  14. Who is comets insurer for camera's etc, I bought a camera last year and took out the 5 year plan to insure the camera, when i went into store before they closed the person in there said there's a number on the back which is the 3rd party's contact details which reading through i cant find anywhere. Does anyone know who the insurer is so i can give them a call, Before comet went under i sent my camera to them to be fixed due to a error keep popping up something to do with the lens not releasing when the camera was turned on, that was fixed but they also cleaned the camera in which recently i have used and noticed alot of blotches all over my pictures, ive cleaned the lens on the outside but they are still there. Any help would be appreciated Thanks for your time
  15. EDF Customer Blue Price Promise Fixed 2015 - Quoted £151 a year saving compared to Pre Payment
  16. We changed from pre payment to Direct Debit on 17th January today got my first gas bill for £82.01 We haven't used the radiators as much as we did when we was on pre payment and that was costing us £50 - 60 a month average Dont understand how we got a bill for £82.01 and i submitted a meter reading online around 17th, 18th Feb. They have obviously an accurate reading as the woman i emailed today funnily enough emailed me the numbers she had received via my account (submit a meter reading) Whole point of me changing was to save money as pre payment is supposed to be slightly dearer. At the moment i am not convinced I dread my electric bill coming through
  17. Does it really work Just had Mark Group come out today and fit free loft insulation, there is alot of it when i just put all our stuff back up there so hoping it will make a big difference we was getting gas bills for £70 before it and £90 in December Per Month Someone said get on to mark group and see if you qualify for it so i did and they said i did with being on JSA My question is will we notice a difference in heat staying in the house for longer i used to put our radiators on for 2 hours in the night before and after 30 mins of them going off the house would be stone cold and same in the mornings. There is defo a draft in the loft when i stuck my head in it this morning
  18. Ok a solution has been made Lee has accepted a temporary offer of £5 a month for 3 months then he will review the situation again in 3 months hopefully will be in work within that time frame Thanks
  19. Ok Thanks Im at the doctors between 11:20 and 12 just come down with some nasty flu bug Also I received a letter yesterday from FPC stating they have returned the debt to Vodafone
  20. I take your word for it mate never spoke to him personally so shall see the outcome on the phone if i get chance to answer his call. Will post my result in a day or two
  21. Lee also tried to call me today but im busy until thursday so never spoke to him, no offence to Lee but makes me wonder if its really worth talking to him as he will only tell me what i already know like oh you signed a contract and your liable to see the whole contract through its old news ive asked him for a reply by email as im unsure what time i have spare all week. You know you could compare this to Broadband Services, you would not pay for a broadband connection if it didnt work and they refused to fix it, so why should i pay vodafone for a tarriff where they refused to fix my old phone
