  3. Hello Sorry for late reply. They have messed up my billing. When i first joined ScottishPower my contract was dual fuel, it then came to the end, ScottishPower had taken it upon themselves not to contact me and tell me my contract had come to an end. ScottishPower dicied to put me on another contract this time single gas and electric instead of dual fuel. There were no gas and electric readings, now i have one bill for electric and no gas and they want a lump some without proper readings. I have tried my best to speak to a ScottishPower manager to try and sort this out. But what can i do when ScottishPower's online call back system is out of order and i have to use the online contact email system which they don't answer my request to speak to someone. They still keep emailing me a bill yet they can't speak to me. I have wrote several letters/emails and no reply. Please, any advice would be great.

  7. Hi My neighbor's son and his friend have for the last year been renting with a private landlord who is now selling house. They were going to rent together again, but his friend changed his mind last week. Come Wednesday next week the neighbor's son will be homeless, and is friend he was renting with who owns a one bedroom flat which he was renting out is going back to it. The major problem is in late 2014 my neighbor's son (I don't want to go into the ins and outs) ended up with a electronic monitoring tag for homegrown for himself. He cannot afford to find a lump some to take out private on his own. He was made redundant and cannot get another job due to monitoring tag and community service. He cannot go back home to mums has she is sold up and moving away. He did try and tell the courts and electronic monitoring tag company Friday gone about soon being homeless etc but no one wanted to know. Anyone got any advise, what to do. who to go and see? Many thanks Dan

  11. Thanks for replies. dx100uk I rang the niece up due to your post. Sorry it was one month and not two months that had passed before contacting them. Sorry for the confusion.
  12. Hello I was chatting to my niece over xmas. She told me about her credit card problem she had been experiencing. A few months previous she applied and received a Barclaycard Freedom Rewards card, so she could use it’s 8 months free 0% credit transfer. When she applied, she filled out wanting pay offline with statements via post. one months had passed no bill, she contacted Barclay, who said it was down as online service but she was told the error would be rectified. Few days later she was contacted by Barclay asking why she had not made a payment yet. Niece told the Barclay employee what had happened with the mix up at the start. The Barclay employee revealed at that point she would not be getting the 0%. My niece had defaulted at the firsts payment (Even though the error should have be rectified) and any other late or non monthly payments received she will receive a late payment charge and interest on the standard balance. When she finally received her first bill it showed interest & charges added. Barclay have also sent late bills and again charged her for late payment. This is a joke can someone advise? Thanks
  13. Thanks for replies Hi Honeybee. Replacing a prison sentence. Cheers!
  14. Hello My neighbour's son tried to retrieve is dole money, he was told, because he is doing community service at the moment, his money will be stopped until he finishes his time doing CS. Is this right? Thanks
  15. So what should have been done? Leave car in middle of a busy road hoping you don't get hit. The car's passenger side was put on a kerb so it did not trouble passing vehicles or hinder any of the public walking on pavement Anyway, a letter been received from council wanting storage payment etc or log book. It makes you lose your faith in humanity. Ridiculous!
  16. Hello My niece and her boyfriend had broke down in her car, so they push it off the road onto the kerb. She tried for 20 minutes to start the vehicle but it could not be started. I came back with them early next day with my vehicle transporter trailer, but the car had been towed and impounded by the council. I thought this was a matter for the police, to remove vehicles which are illegally or dangerously parked? Her's was parked safe by the way even though on the kerb. She put this to the council but they want her to pay fine then she gets her car. Also the council requested she prove it had broken down that night, but were unwilling to meet at car yard to be showed. How can this be proved if the council are not willing to come and see for theirself. Any advice welcome. Thanks
  17. To be completely honest i don't know.
  18. Ho well, those at (MCOL) state claim has now been struck out on 24/10/2014, which is today. That's that then. Thanks to all who advised. Dan
  19. Hello rebel11 Thanks for reply, i'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I'm not sure what you mean by above, i've checked PM and cannot find any reference to it. The court recommends the The Small Mediation route, both parties talking. The plan is to recoup the £60.00 court fee. Which would be best? Take court action or ADR? When you say claim interest, are you referring to ADR? Thanks
  20. Thanks rebel11 for reply. I take it another £60.00 claim got to be paid for this? 69 interest! Please can you enlighten me what this is? Thanks
  21. Hello Small Claims was issued and payment finally received. I say received, the company did not pay for the £60.00 cost. The company have also filed a defence on 15/09/2014. Thanks
  22. Hello Once again, thank you for the replies. He's a young kid, and i wouldn't say he's being reluctant, just a little naive. Believe it or not the company are being more cooperative this time round and keep telling him they are going to put is money into is account, when he goes into the bank no money been entered. And this little joke of theirs has been happening for the last month. I personally think the company are taking the biscuit. It's going to be put through small claims now. Thanks
  23. Hello Just want to fill in fellow repliers what's been happening over the last month. Well the nephew has been in communication with several employees of the company who owe him wages. I wanted to help him go strait to small claims after advice from you, the "consumeractiongroup members" but my nephew declined. Well he's still getting the run around via emails stating the money going to be forward to his new account. The bank manager advised my nephew to go for compensation when filling out small claims forms. I would be so grateful if someone could please advise about going for compensation when filling out small claims forms. It's been 9 months since the nephew was let go, and 8 months trying to get is wages outstanding. What kind of compensation would be adequate for 8 months of hassle? Any advice will be most welcome. Thank you for your time. Daniel
