  1. Hello My nephew has since been made unemployed, and after paying off a few debts he no longer has any savings. Recently the Natwest have started adding charges to his account because of his Overdraft, + they have started adding other charges due to Sky TV trying to get money from the account in regards to direct debit for TV and Phone. He has been into his local Natwest to try and sort something out, only to be told it's nothing to do with them and he has to get in touch with Natwest head office. A letter is soon to be sent but i thought i would post and ask if there is anything else that can be done. Would there be a chance to get charges taken off? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hello My neighbor received a council tax summons today for another address where she lived 8 years ago, 2001/2002. Notice reads: On 14th of July 2003 a complaint was made by Charging Authority against my neighbor for unpaid Council Tax and costs. On the 31st of July 2003 a liability order was issued against my neighbor by Magistrates Court. to take effect forthwith. It's taken 7 years to send a summons to my neighbor and as far as she can remember she don't owe any council tax payment. She has 9 days to pay up according to the Council Tax 14 day letter if not bailiffs may be sent, letter was written on the 24th Sept 2010. Can anyone tell me what plan of action should my neighbor take next? I have links for scans, but i cannot add links to this post, i'm not privileged because i have not made enough posts. Thank you for your time.

  10. Hello I moved into, what i know now is a bad area recently, i had two motorcycles up to a month ago, one for work, other for pleasure. Since moving to where i'm living i've had nothing but trouble with kids messing with and pushing over my motorcycles. I decided to chain both motorcycles to a lamppost on the path two feet from the road where i would have normally parked them. There are no lines, no signs saying no parking, my Motorcycles was not even obstructing pedestrians using pathways. Withing two days of me chaining my motorcycles to lamppost i received two Penalty Charges, so i decided to park both motorcycles back where had been parking, withing a few days my work motorcycles was stolen , 2 nights later someone tried to steal my other bike, and nearly did so and would have if they had better bolt croppers. In the end i have had to rent part of the my neighbour's garage to store my motorcycle in. In light of the hassle i have been though, do i have a chance of fighting these Penalty Charges £200 Thanks
  11. HI Thanks for reply? My friend went through their finance option, where he has to pay so much a week or month via direct debit. Thanks
  12. Hello I'm writing on behalf of a friend who purchased a suite from a furniture company. He went through their finance option, where he has to pay so much a week or month via direct debit. I'm going to pay off the debt, but looking through letters from the finance company "Creation Consumer Finance Ltd Belfast" i see they have added fees due to payment problems, so i would like some advice before i make payment. Are these fees legal, and will i have to pay them? One arrears letter states they have charged an administration fee of £25.00 for sending a letter. Another arrears letter states due to the failure of the Direct Debt commitment, they have charged a further £30.00 administration fee. Thank you for your time. .
  13. Thank you for your replies? I may of rushed the first posting. This is how it reads. The debt was passed over to Equita Ltd who sorted out their own repay payment scheme in which the person in question had to pay them the outstanding payment of £76.00 in installments of £7.50 per week. But the person in question missed 3 payments and because of this Equita Ltd sent a letter demanding the full outstanding payment of £76.00 and would no longer take the payment in installments of £7.50 per week. On the day of receiving the letter the person in question contacted Equita Ltd and told a Equita Ltd employee that she would send them the payment of £76.00 in full. But the Equita Ltd employee told the person in question the outstanding payment of £76.00 that was stated in the letter had now gone up to £276.00 due to them passing it over to a bailiff.
  14. Hello I'm writing on behalf of someone. From what I can gather, the person in question was in council tax arrears with the council. It was passed over to Equita Ltd who sorted out their own repay payment scheme in which the person in question had to pay them. Anyway the person in question missed 3 payments so Equita Ltd sent a letter demanding the full payment. Equita was contacted the same day has the letter was received and the person in question was told by a Equita Ltd employee the £76.00 arrears that was stated in the letter they sent. Had now gone up to £276.00. How can Equita Ltd send a letter demanding £76.00 arrears, and on the same day of receiving letter when contacting Equita Ltd by phone to be told that they have now passed it over to their bailiffs dept and it's now gone up £200.00 without them giving you time to respond to their letter? Can someone please advise? Are Equita Ltd within their rights to do this? This is not a court case judgement. Just the council handing over the debt to a debt collecting company Thanks
