Can I confirm though that the address for the S.A.R is:

Yep, they've not moved so go for it. Remember to send by recorded delivery and to type your name rather than sign the letter.

I am just about to start with Capital One over charges. Can you update me on what the S.A.R letter is? and why not to sign it?

Martinego, SAR is a formal request for all data they hold about you, you'll find it in the templates section of the library. Oh, and some companies have been known to use signatures in a rather naughty fashion!

 

Start up a thread of your own and you'll get more specific help as well as keeping everything in one place (very helpful when you've got paperwork flying all over the show! )

Well I did manage it and got my statement through today, I have a question though. Some time ago Cap1 gave a "goodwill gesture" for £1000 odd. Probably because of the amount of charges, I don't know, but how should I reflect that on my SOC?

Hi,

 

If they gave you £1,000 back, you should be able to work out what charges this amount covers ?

 

Then just deduct them from your SOC.
