Yeah, I'll get the SAR sorted in case I've missed something and go from there.

Indeed, it was a "Personal Flexiloan" for refinancing purposes, that's how the application was worded.

Thank you kindly, I thought it was off, is it worth sending a SAR to get all the info first?

Hi all, Long story short I had a Gold account with a monthly fee. Back in 2008 I opened an account with another bank and forgot about it after moving house. 6 months on I get a letter saying they intend to file a default notice "unless within 28 days of this letter satisfactory payment or arrangements for payment are made with the bank." The default was of £500 consisting entirely of bank charges. I spoke to Natwest who suggested taking a loan for the amount to prevent the default being applied. I did this and paid it off without a hitch. I recently checked my credit file which is how I found out, the default was applied in May despite my first payment being well within the 28 days of the letter and no payments were missed. I called Natwest today and they were unable to help as they didn't hold the details because the account was closed and they couldn't see who closed it. They suggested I go in to my local branch. I'm not convinced my local branch can help so thought I'd run it past here first and see what you thought? Cheers.

Can't seem to find the address, can anyone help?

Won't hurt to try, whats the best contact name and address to write to regarding this?

Thinking about it, my standard account was upgraded to an Advantage Gold account after a guy called me, maybe this has something to do with it. Either way, it's very confusing.

2 entries. One as settled, one as defaulted, although the addresses and other dates are different. It's just strange that the settled and default dates on both entries is the same.
-
Infact, just looked again, there are 2 entries on my credit file. 1 says settled on 31/05/09 the other says defaulted on 31/05/09.

Hi all, Back in 2008/2009 I decided I had enough of Natwest after having a number of problems with them, packed up and changed banks (I was in the black). Cancelled direct debits/standing orders etc etc. Rang them up to cancel who said I had to go in branch to do it. I never got round to it. Anyway, some time later I received a default warning for £488, turns out I forgot it was an advantage gold account with monthly charges which they kept taking, then charging on the charges and so on and so on and the only warning I had was the default warning (not notice). I settled it in full and after checking out my credit file today, turns out they defaulted me on it too. I think I had a £100 overdraft on there. Anyway, is it possible to have this removed? Firstly as I never received anything to say I defaulted, second, the only warning I had that all these were racking up was the default warning and finally the entire debt was purely charges. I figured I might be able to get it removed? Or is this all completely ok? Cheers.

Hi all, I bought a HTC Desire HD over the phone (T-Mobile) about 4 months ago and it has developed a fault. I'm not being notified of text messages and all my texts have been wiped. I've called HTC and they've said it's a known problem but there's nothing they can do about it until a software update is released but they don't know when and have suggested I download a 3rd party app. Firstly I'm not too happy as I shouldn't have to rely on 3rd party software and secondly, there are none on the market anyway, so now I'm left with a faulty phone. The phone is on contract so I'm not sure where I stand, any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, Looking for a bit of advice. I was silly enough to sign up to Credit Expert and forgot to cancel it. You may or may not know, £6 ish is taken from your account by recurring card payment rather than DD or SO. So last month I had about £3 in my account and they took the money sending me £3 over drawn. I do not have an overdraft on my account so technically they should of declined the payment surely? This is resulted in £90 worth of charges. I'm becoming tired, after sorting my finances, my DD's and SO's come out ok and it seems I now have to mess about with card payments too. Anything I can do? Or shall I just bite the bullet.

Barclaycard have settled in full with no conditions plus 8% interest so i've accepted the offer. This can be moved to successful claims now. Thanks everyone who's helped me with my claim.
