Hi - hoping for some quick advice!

Have a PCN that i've been arguing about, Barnet didn't receive my emails appealing, went to enforcement.

I actually paid half the amount, set up a payment plan for the second, then the case was put on hold in August following an appeal to the TEC.

7 months later - yesterday - have a bailiff visit wanted £337 for the £135 balance!

Apparently the appeal to TEC was refused, and it was sent back to Marston on the 20th December, no letter received by me (although council said they sent one advising me to speak to Marston), and now bailiff wants another £235.

Do I have any recourse given the hold was for such a long time?

Surely they should have got in touch to at least tell me its off hold?

And does £235 make sense to add for 1 visit on £135 debt?

  • dx100uk changed the title to 7 month hold on Barnet PCN - Marson bailiff added £235

as you've found out before here

there are no rules that tec HAVE to send notification if your appeal fails...

its for you to keep enquiring upon its outcome.

did you previously got a NOE?

bit confused by you saying one visit? they dont have to visit to post the NOE and can then visit to enforce it hence the £235 fee, making the total of £310 which is all a bailiff can ever charge.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
