I am having terrible problems with currys.

My husband bought a BEKO washing machine from them Dec 2020.

It has broken down since June of this year.

I have contact both retailer and manufacturer and both are very unhelpful.

Currys say the one year warranty is up and BEKO say they are under no obligation to help me as I did not take out their extra 3 year warranty.

The Consumer Act was mentioned in my conversation to them and via email and I also mentioned that after a year and a half for a washing machine to break down is unacceptable and it definitely is not fit for purpose, unfortunately they are still not interested and stated they can help me no further.

I am actually thinking of sending one more email advising them I will be taking them to small claims court, then doing just that!

Admittedly the machine only cost £219 but for me it is the principle of the situation and they are not fulfilling their obligation to me as their customer.

Does anyone have any advice please?

I will be grateful for any help/ support/advice

Thank you

forget warranties/guarantees not worth the paper they are written on and do not negate, remove or change your consumer rights 2015 under said act.

no good quoting it when you dont know it.....

the machine is outside of 6mts purchase

you must get a professional report done to send to currys proving your claim.

then a letter of claim

then a court claim.

nothing to do with beko either, your rights are against the retailer.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
