Please help with Very, Phone stolen in transit

Hi, I am hoping someone can give me some advice!

I ordered a mobile phone from very 2 weeks ago and received it all ok. I changed my mind before opening the phone and arranged to get it returned.

Yodel collected the sealed phone last Monday and the driver helped me tape up an outer box so it was disguised!

I returned home today to find the box I sent returned in bad condition with the phone box and a note saying something was missing from the box.

I then checked the phonebox and found the seal had been broken an the phone is missing!

I have emailed and phoned very but they are saying they can't help and are not willing to help me.

What do I do next?

Any advice would be helpful

If you sent the phone back, why has it been returned to you?

 

If Yodel are responsible for the missing phone then send a complaint to :-

Thanks for the response. I sent the phone back as I didn't require it and I had not even broken the seal on the phone box.

It has been returned to me because Very have received the box without the phone!

So who rang Yodel to arrange collection? So the phone has gone missing in transit to Very.

So send a Letter of Complaint to the CEO of Very. Explain what's happened and that it's for them to chase it up with Yodel if the phone has gone missing whilst in transit. Explain that Yodel helped you package the product for return. How did you pay for it?

 

Very arranged the colllection with Yodel.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

They are, without doubt, the worst firm I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. Inept from start to finish.

 

I actually refuse to order from companies that use them.

there was one in the mail I think it was

 

whereby a very large 3D tv went missing.

 

it was found for sale on ebay by one of their [now EX] deliverymen.

But who orders a phone and then changes their mind.

 

And how many delivery persons help you tape the box!

 

The compensation should help relieve the stress of the situation though.

Thanks for the replies,

I changed my mind as I managed to get my existing iphone repaired for a fraction of the cost for the new handset and believed by not opening the box I was well within my rights to do so.

In answer your questions Hammy I ordered a phone and changed my mind and one delivery driver helped me tape the box.
