The database of MPs' second jobs and donations should be interesting.

Apparently the ginger whinger agrees

My family kicked me out with nothing, nothing .. other than my pensions, trust funds, a few luxury homes and a £100 million in the bank .. nothing

Dont know how those ministers manage on little more than 100k a year, plus chair fees, plus expenses, +3.5 grand for energy bills, +subsidised bar and food . and lobbying donations .. thats barely a breadline  pittance. At that they must need the jobs just to pay the bills just like poor people who work 3 jobs to pay the rent and be able to warm water for the kids to wash after they've been up cleaning chimneys for a ha'penny.

LOL

Various summaries of the content of the book (I wouldn't put a penny in his pocket) ..  none are kind

on a more interesting subject:

On Feb. 1, a comet called C/2022 E3 (ZTF) will pass by Earth for the first time in 50,000 years, meaning the last time it cruised by our planet, Homo sapiens were still sharing the planet with Neanderthals. And according to calculations from astronomers, the comet will never come back.

But you don't have to wait until February to see the comet; there are a few ways to spot it before its closest approach, starting today (Jan. 12).

Many years ago the person the Bank of Dave is based on used to be a customer of the company I worked for and I spoke to him a couple of times. So will watch with interest.

This is my favourite comment on the strange story of Harry and Meghan and the papparazzi. From a reader in the Washington Post. :D

Another quote, this time from the agency some of the paparazzi sent their photos to. The Sussexes legal team demanded all photos, videos, etc. This is part of Backgrid's response.

“In America, as I’m sure you know, property belongs to the owner of it: third parties cannot just demand it be given to them, as perhaps kings can do.'

That’s a “PR stunt” response alluding to American Independence, but why would they feel the need to mention that if it weren’t for:

”Hey, his mum died in a car crash precipitated by a paparazzi chase - how do you think he was feeling / what do you think he was thinking”? (And they wanted to divert attention from that)

Was looking through some local information yesterday and noticed the number of people who have recently registered themselves as officially homeless.

And those lucky to be on the Councils Housing choices list, when they are offered a property are often taken to places that are not ready for anyone to move into them, until a list of different works are completed first.

Appears the Housing crisis is getting worse, as the rise in interest rates/rent is making it more difficult for people to remain in current housing and the pressure of having so many already in temporary accommodation, means there are very few options left available.

We could do with some help from you.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
