You need to go to your bank and TELL them. Theres no point telling us as we arent your bank. You have a right to get it back as it is benefit money. If the bank refuses, then you can complain of unfair treatment and make a complaint under BCOBS

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

We are not being rude. You wanted advice, we are giving it to you. You seem to be a bit confused.

Go back to your bank, tell them that it was an unauthorized transaction that took your benefit money and you want it chargebacked asap. Dont leave the bank until they agree.

Honestly, theres very little advice we can give you until we have the response of your bank.

Your bank is 100% wrong. One sec, ill get you a link.

It's to do with use of a CPA ( which could apply in your situation), but it lists the payment regulations. ALso have a read of both links in the first post in that thread. They outline your rights fully regarding your rights.

Can you name and shame your bank? It would give us more to go on if we knew what bank it was.

We've already given the advice you need to go to your bank and TELL them to refund. Don't deal with the silly script merchants that man the front desks or telephones. You NEED to speak with the manager.

Sorry to keep posting so ur telling me my bank can defently get my money back for me

Correct. However your bank doesnt want to get it back, and in doing this they breack regulation and OFT guidance. Unfortunately people think the banks are right and never complain, so the regulators think the banks are acting fine.
