Well have to agree to disagree. If they are threatening bailiffs, then they need to say that they will have to apply to court, the debtor lose the case, you will then have to default on any order made, which is at least 30 days before a CCJ is registered, then they would have to apply for enforcement orders for which the debtor would be summoned to court to explain why. Only after that would bailiffs get involved, and an attachment of earnings under a court imposed rate usually takes precedence before that.

As you can see, it doesnt appear that way when the PDL's explain it.

Thank you rebat. That is what i was trying to say. Renegade you have just explained it well and of course a letter from a pdls will not say that but it doesn't mean it goes against guidelines. We will have to disagree because i think poor advice is worse than no advice, especially from someone with perceived authority. You can dismiss me because i only have a few posts unlike your several thousand and people will take more notice of you. That is my only point

its ok. Forget about the number of posts i have. That means nothing. The whole point of a forum is to voice your opinion and advice, and for others to debate it and give their advice.

hope not!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
