Honesty I wonder what It will take for people to actually wake up from their collective stupor and rebel against this injustice? I mean the whole country can't be so well off that they feel secure in knowing they'll never need any kind of state help, surely?

 

Well when I was working I never had any tax credits or housing benefit. Wages have to be quite low for someone childless to get help, and those who get help with children is in the form of mainly child tax credits which isnt been targeted. If you fit and well then you take the NHS for granted so its not that unbelievable that people are been niave to whats going on.

 

Whats becoming more known is people dont like paying for something they dont use which is why the wealthy are coming out saying things like the state needs to shrink, people need to stand on their own 2 feet because they know they can do that themselves and they think its all down to effort rather than other reasons such as financial.

The other side of that coin is people are now resenting paying for what they were promised and won't get, once welfare reform has fully kicked in and the NHS has been gutted like a fish and all the best bits sold off, just what will people be getting for their NI contributions? Very little I would guess.

 

Thus heralds the next government con trick, maintain the flow of NI and spend hardly any of it.
