Had my first campaigner at the door who is standing as an independent for the district council. Up until now all we've had is a leaflet for the labour parliamentary candidate. It was the same at the last election.

Is it any wonder the electorate are so complacent about voting if candidates can't be bothered!!

C'mon Caro how can candidates knock on every door. Have you got your con leaflet yet:madgrin:

BTW have you thought you may have been out when they called. Leaflets are also delivered by helpers and the candidate can knock on a seperate occasion.

It would appear that the Labour, Conservative and UKIP candidates for this area, are not even old enough to purchase cigarettes or alcohol in our village store - which has a notice advising that under 25's have to produce ID for this purpose !!

There's someone in a lot of the time but nothing from cons. Guess they don't need to bother in this constituency as it's a sure thing for them. :(

Good to hear the young are engaging in politics:-) It's thought a higher percentage of 18-25 yr olds will vote this time. We shall see.

The housing association. I moved in 3 months ago and informed them that my intercom doesn't work. They still haven't fixed it. They've been informed on numerous occasions that it doesn't work. They've not bothered to do anything about it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Doctors receptionists. Apparently, my medication can't possibly be the cause of my dehydration. I've lost count of the amount I've drunk over the weekend when it was really bad. But the leaftlet says it's a possible side effect.

I've been like this since Saturday. Actually, I think it's been going on longer than this. But it's only recently become more obvious.

watching a programme where a mother subjected her baby have it's ears pierced . It does not hurt them she said, so why did the poor baby scream and cry and her ears bleed :(

Tbh, there should be a law that says no piercing under 10, least then they are old enough to say yes or no

I don't know how you'd stop it, and it's how many people first find their way to CAG when they need help. If you read the cag site rules (3.3) it says that posts are cached on search engines like google.

You will. Copy and paste any post you've done into google and it'll more than likely be found again.

Wonder what you'd find if you googled your name? :-o

If it weren't visible on Google, others wouldn't find their way to help sites, such as this snowdragon. I think you will likely find that some sites that charge subscriptions might have sections that are private and the contents of those posts will not be visible.
