Seeing as only 3% of customers' accounts fall into collections, it doesn't really seem fair that the majority of those who do pay and manage to gain employment and not spend their week's doll money on wide screen televisions and family outings to McDonalds, should be penalised for that 3%.

Actually, I never suggested IVA/Bankruptcy, I said they were an option. Particulary IVA's, which are an excellent tool for those heavily in debt, which was the reason why they were intoduced in the 3rd place. DCA's do not generally benefit from people entering into an IVA/Bankruptcy, its far better for the debt to be paid in full via a payment arrangement - but I'm certainly not going to argue about it.

Please tell that to 1st Credit Deshaine. And the other 'rogue DCAs' we deal with here.

Prodding a Troll with sticks only encourages them to disgorge/spew more Credit Industry Propaganda, Debtor Slap Downs and annoying patronising clap-trap suggesting Debt is something clear and well defined!

 

Debt = you owe it, now, how are you going to Pay it.

 

There is no space in the Borg/Troll closed loop banking mind that can even begin to cope with the concepts of Engineered Debt, Unfair Debt, Illegal Debt, Manipulated Debt, Penalty Debt, Vindictive Debt, Debt Created wholly because of Access to Privileged Information for Unjust Enrichment.

I find it hard not to be distracted by these troll-posts, and have precious little time and/or concentration to have it wasted. Responding to them is futile, this is how they get their 'kicks' and it's very sad that this is the best they can come up with. Every post I've seen by this troll(s) has been deliberately provocative. The first was blatantly so and removed (yay to the Mods! ).

I can't help but think that they seek reactions the same way the DCA phone operators seek reactions - if they damage people by what they say, I imagine they sit back with a self-satisfied smile... To them it's a 'result'. It's nauseating and very very shallow, and their lives are poorer for it - the saddest thing is they don't see it like that.

I've also seen references on various sites to DCA's suggesting they 'engage' consumer forums... well if this is the best they can do... !

The best we can do is disassociate from them, ignore them, delete their blatantly ignorant posts if possible and focus instead on real people coming here for help and advice. I saw yesterday that this thread had 11 readers - if they distract us, again, it's 'job done' to them. So let's not let them do it.

One day reality will bite their bums. At which point they'll be back under new names seeking advice. To me the real power of CAG is that it doesn't discriminate, and people here will help them then.
