I took my bank the Lloyds TSB to court to try and get my charges back. I received a letter from the court in Northampton, and the bank have said they "intend to defend all of this claim".

Can someone give me any advice about this. Does this mean the bank are going to contest this or is this another tactic they use to make people back off?

Many Thanks.

Hi

Northampton County Court handle all claims filed online. Upon allocation it will be transferred to your local county court.

LloydsTSB will enter a defence (around the deadline (28 days)).

Nothing much to do unfortunately. Just a waiting game now.

Familiarise yourself with the AQ (allocation questionnaire) as thats the next step.

As a starting point on allocation questionnaires read this thread. There are others you can look at later on.

Submitting a defence is a tactical delaying move to see if you'll chicken out. It's virtually certain they'll settle before the trial date.

If in doubt read the

FAQs

If still in doubt - ask!
