My deadline expires tomorrow, have had letter saying they have been requested and I rang them Wednesday and they are being rushed through to me ...... still waiting however I am not suprised they have strung it out until the very last moment reading some others experiences.

Keep nagging, they know they have lost already, you will win !!!

Mine arrived on the 42nd day, shame as I had composed my LBA too !! Also, 161 pages received in two envelopes, one contained the even numbered pages and the other the odd numbered ones, could this be another delaying / confusing tactic used by the bank !!

My LBA went off yesterday as they haven't responded to the preliminary other than "we are very sorry, FSA give us 8 weeks to investigate" ..... yeah right .... think we shall be sticking to MY timetable !!

Try giving them a ring this week and advise them the 40 day limit is approaching, keep them on their toes.

Gone through the statements and it adds up to a grand total of £2168!!! Can I whack any interest on yet or do I have to wait until the court stage for the 8%?

Hi Lyns

Good luck with the Halifax. I was successful earlier in the year, have a read of my thread to see how I got on :D :D :D (sorry, but I don't know how to do a link to it!!!)

Remember, it's YOUR claim. YOU are the one setting the timescales, so stick to them, and you WILL get all of your money back. Halifax seem to be settling quite a few claims in full before court proceedings are even issued (they did in my case). However, you have to be prepared to issue court papers if they won't, but if it does come to that, then at least you can claim your "little xtra" from Howard Halifax!!!!!

Best wishes.

Halifax - £2281, successfully refunded all charges after LBA letter & telephone call.

Have been offered the difference between the £20 and £12 charges from Capital One -- am sending LBA for remainder.

GE Money - Received settlement of £441, being total charges requested. No interest though.

CCA'd Bank of Scotland / Blair Oliver Scott to produce CCA Agreements on two Credit Cards - well in default, although still chasing payment!!!

EOS Solutions "ceased action on account" on behalf of a friend.

All in all, quite busy at the moment and enjoying every minute of it
