UKPC PCN/NTK - no stopping - Gateway House Piccadilly Manchester- No Stopping

Hi,

I turned into this ,No stopping, road and today 11/09/23 received a No Stopping fine of £100.

Ive read here that this is a common mistake as my google sent me into this road by mistake,

i spent all of two minutes turning my van to get out,

i feel its a trap as i have also read that others on here have ignored their  letters, as i should be given at least 10 minutes.

is this still the case sep 2023 or have they now put new signs up,

i did see No Stopping signs on leaving,

should i ignore letter,

or pay this fine,

im not sure how to proceed, 

i tried to copy,

do you know has anybody got a claim letter or to date has anyone been taken to court, a simple yes or no ans will be fine and thanks,

its only £60 at moment but its the principle of it all.,

my letter says notice to keeper not pcn, which has got me thinking is it even legal, thanks for reply.

We know this place very, very well.

Despite the parking company threatening to drop a nuclear missile on the motorists' homes - when it comes to it in not one case have they had the gonads to do court.

Just done some counting.  Cases on CAG apart from yours = 22.  Court claims started by the fleecers = 0.

The area is covered by bye-laws for a start, so they threaten this & that but ultimately know they would lose in court.

Oh, and what you have received is an invoice, not a fine, private companies don't have the power to issue fines.

From your previous posts, it sounds like you might be tempted to leave everything alone depending on the answer to your questions. Whatever you do Pogz, don't just ignore everything they send, thinking you're home and dry.

I did think reading here the best thing  is to leave it alone until i receive a letter of claim,

i live 200 miles from this location, but if i receive a court  date, in manchester , ill get a solicitor  involved

.also i might contact dvla, to find out why they revealed my details for a no stoppting ticket, as they only have authority to reveal for parking offenses

.if i make my mind up im right, ill go the full hog

also are these cowboys even operating legal?

To answer your question, nobody's been taken to court because as Dave said, the fleecers know they're on a loser... For numerous reasons. With just a quick scan of the forum, you've already spotted the 10 min grace period.

You would never have to travel far to a court. It would be at your local one... if it happened. 

You would certainly NOT need a solicitor. No solicitor would have the breadth of knowledge and experience that the team here have.

Keep reading around the forum. It will open your eyes to the underworld of Private Parking Companies and their thieving practices.

Their prey are the ignorant, the uninformed, the apathetic and the downright scared.

i make my own mind,

People are now telling me

,its only £60 P,

pay it forget it,

but im more why should i pay,

yes ive got my own house,

good credit,

i rely on a 3yr disclosure from scotland yard for my job,

ive got everything to loose if, they come calling, but i think, you guys are right, ukcps rely on faint hearted, 98%,to scare people into paying, Also im aware only i got the fine and maybe you guys never got a fine , and are only commenting on other s who have,

So its me really who will have to face whats coming, Now there is a dilemma, as most solicitors say, you must appeal if you want to be successful, but im more on Nicky and Dave, that if they know who the driver is, in 5 yrs time they will throw it out, chasing a dead horse,

kinda thing, im thinking ill ride it out and keep yis all informed, glad ive met Nicky boy and Dave.

 yes i know my letter is an invoice,  trust me,ill be here to the end, you might even like me one day, when i learn to space as you say,,i learning every second on here ,and Also aware ,maybe UKCPS, have their maybe a spy, registered on this site,

also forgive my future spelling,

i guess these guys look at these sites, im interested, to know if anyone has got a letter of claim,

ive also learned that, my ticket is £100 ,the most i can be charged IF brought to court, is £130 plus £55 solicitor fees ,but my counter claim will be much higher,

if they are watching,?Go easy on me DX.im only learning.

most court claim run in at about £257 and you dont ever counterclaim no. that opens up a whole can of worms not only regarding potential costs.

and so what if they read this site

hasnt hurt us in 16yrs.

a , is not a replacement for a   space between words.

im not here to like or dislike anyone, just make things better so people can give and get help but sometimes one side doesnt play their fair part.

I was   recently  reading   a  case

A   barrister  got  ticket,  ukpc

motorway   overstay

he  challenged  and  won.

But  he  counter Claimed   £1576. and won.

ive also, heard ukpc  have not  taken  a single  claim to court  for yrs.

maybe  they waiting  for law to   change ?

My Mrs is going crazy, She does not understand,

if i was alone id keep ignoring, but She cant handle it, So im gonna have to to pay,

only because i have to respect, her wishes, she thinks  bailiffs will be on my door.

i tried explain. but these false fake people win again.

Cases on CAG apart from yours = 23.  Court claims started by the fleecers = 0.

The only way you could get bailiffs is if they sent you a Letter of Claim, then took you to court, next won the court hearing, and after you defied the court and didn't pay.  The job of bailiffs is to pursue people who defy court orders.
