Debt advice

Recommended Posts

Been looking through the advice on this wonderful and informative site.
Unfortunately I am now in the position of being unable to pay a loan and a cc.

My loan is with everyday loans taken out it 2017   £10k. Not missed a payment.
Not quite sure of outstanding amount as their statements are confusing also, as I have moved, they don’t have my current address

vanquish. started 2015 owe £3970. Not missed a payment.

Looking at advice here it looks like I have to wait for a dn first then go from there. Do I let everyday loans know that I have moved and do I close the dd with them.

Many thanks in advance.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Ensure you get proof of posting, which is free from the PO counter.

Keep everything in writing, keep a diary of events also, if they ring tell them 'everything in writing please' and hang up.

Do not discuss financial matters over the phone.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

then as you'be read here

the quicker it gets defaulted via a section 87 CCA notice of default, the quicker it will vanish from your credit file.

once defaulted, revisit to restart token or pro-rate payments.

not paying for a few months wont hurt your file. and it gets you stable moving fwd.

Block the emails so they bounce back, yes you ignore them.

The text messages you can forward to 7726 (SPAM) on your phone.

That will stop them abusing the communications network too.

ignore.

Report texts as spam to 7726.

Might be worth writing to lowell confirming your address (this doesn't reset the SB clock or acknowledge the debt) just in case they didn't get your new address from vanquis.

We could do with some help from you.

I'd write to Lowell, with your address. The text messages are inconsequential

vanquis have my new address so really that shouldn’t be my problem.

did YOU write to Vanquis then stating your correct and current address as advised or not?

dont ASSUME just because someone 'writes' to an address it is the legally assigned one if YOU have not written and told the OC before the sale.

big backdoor ccj risk.

For the cost of a 2nd class stamp, is it worth the risk?
