Hi to anyone reading this.

In December 2010 I received a letter from Capquest advising me of a debt purchased from Vodafone.

I have heard nothing from Vodafone regarding this and immediately replied that I do not acknowledge the debt to anyone and asking for proof etc;.

I never got a reply and didn't give it anymore thought.

Fast forward to today. I received a letter from Capquest advising me that the account is back with them!!!!

They say that the account has been returned to them, as CCS Collect haven't been able to agree a suitable repayment arrangement with me!!!

I haven't had anything from CCS regarding this either.

They aren't threatening legal action this time,

just asking me to call them in order to establish contact!!!

I've checked my credit file, and this is showing with a default date of 05/09,

so this will drop off next year

but I'd just like to stop them in their tracks before they waste anymore time.

I regularly check my credit file and Vodafone have never shown there.

I have never had a Vodafone contract, although I did once have a PAYG sim card.

Any thoughts please?

CAG.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hello dx, and thank you for replying. I have done as you suggested and the reference number quoted in the reply is WRT135-CAG [#6984082]However, my concern right now is with Capquest as I have never had any correspondence with Vodafone regarding this. I had a similar issue with Sigma SPV1 and EE (T Mobile) and successfully defended it after they issued a County Court claim against me.I will update you as and when I receive a reply.RegardsSignaller

Hello Lee, and thanks for replying. I was expecting a call from you on Monday. As I said at the start of my thread, Capquest contacted me in December 2010 regarding this matter. I replied immediately, denying any knowledge of this alleged debt and heard nothing more until recently. My concern is with Capquest, as they claim to have purchased the alleged debt from Vodafone, and have registered a default on my credit file. However, I would be happy to discuss this with you if it will help resolve this matter. You can contact me tomorrow or Friday before 1800.RegardsSignaller
