DCA ad via fax

was at work today when the fax kicked out some marketing junk.

 

had a quick look and it was from a DCA and on the fax it states

 

"We are Highly motivated and trained professional collectors - who are legally permitted to visit debtors at home or a place of business"

 

are they allowed to put that?

What's a fax machine?

 

It's a machine for sending pieces of paper over the telephone line. You put the paper in the top of the machine, it rolls it up very tight and sends it down the telephone line to another fax machine. The other fax machine unrolls the paper and chucks it out for the recipient.

 

Mine doesn't work tho', it keeps chucking the paper out the bottom every time I try to send it.

Joking aside, it must be a pretty desperate DCA to mailshot people by fax?

 

Doubt the authorities would do anything about it.
