Hi I have a hsbc old loan which is due to come off my credit report jan 14

It has a lot of missed payments on the same as my Halifax loan which is due to come off my file a few mo tha later.

Even tho they are 5 years old do you think they are still hurting my score if so how do I remove them?? Or try 2

They are both paid off or settled as you say

Settled rather than ''satisfied'' is much better any way these will be removed after 6 years.

Credit scores are just a day to day indicator as to how any credit app will be viewed by a potential lender, and is a small part of any lending decision.

When these entries are removed you will see som upward movemment, how much will depend on what other accounts you have and how they are managed, too little medium to long term credit agreement is as bad as too many, and if existing available credit is used nearly to the limit this will also impact on the file.

Also numerous credit apps in a short period will have an impact successful or not as they leave a search ''footprint'' on the files.

You need to have approx 2-3 years good credit management to improve your credit file drammatically.
