one the main sponsers for this years paralympics..is none other that ATOS....i wonder if the press are going to run a campaign to rail against these elite athletes from the uk being allowed to benefits..as they are obviously entitled to....better watch themselves that they dont run over 200m on level ground

Count Orlok was the name used for the vampire in Nosferatu. F. W. Murnau, the director of Nosferatu staring the rather ghoulish looking Max Schreck, thought that by calling Count Dracula, Count Orlok and the film Nosferatu, nobody would notice his film was an unauthorized rip off of stoker's book (Johnathan Harker was called Thomas Hutter, and other characters also had name changes). They did though and all but a couple of copies of the film where destroyed.

Orlok lives on, and wonders why he shouldn't be in charge of a blood bank :)

expect to see rATOS raising their profile over this..look how fairly we are treating disabled people.....we are simply getting the cheats out of the system...when i first found the report my indignation knew no bounds....

I find the thought of ATOS as sponsors of the Paralympic Games quite shocking and inappropriate, given their attitude to the vast majority ill and disabled people ~ just wanted to say that.

Now that is making unfair conclusions about vampires; the blood must come from a living being, don't beleive all you see on the TV.

No need to worry, I'm a vegan vampire :)

Not sure how the organisers can justify having ATOS as a sponsor, I know they need sponsorship but there must be limits. Also ATOS themselves are being a bit hypocritical sponsoring this, as according to their criteria none of the disabled athletes are disabled. In fact according to ATOS there would be no such thing as the Paralympics, because if you can compete you are not disabled.

residents of a tower block in london are going to court to stop this madness being deployed...what the hell does Cameron and co expect to happen?

the threat is more likely to come from someone trying to carry a bomb into a stadia..not from some terrorist hijacking a tornado bomber and flying it at the olympics...as to hijacking a commercial plane...even getting on a flight these days is a bloody nightmare...never mind trying to sneak something aboard in order to take over a passenger jet,i suppose some enterprising terrorist could have learnt to fly and maybe take a small craft and crash it...but these people normally go for the big impact...

whilst i accept there may be some hightened security measures that could be put in place this really is overkill...and all this for some over inflated professional sports people to run around a bloody track....

apart from the huge debt we are about to inherit, does anyone see the legacy that these olympic games will give us?

there is now talk about how school children should be given opportunities to participate in more sport, earlier, and more comprehensive than ever before. if this is the case than why has it taken an olympics in order for this to be made clear to the uk public?

playing fields sold off and being still being sold off. leisure centres, being run down, and however much we actually end up paying for sport, at the end of the day, only a very, very small minority of 'ordinary' people actually benefit from it, there are only so many places in an olympic team.

as per usual I think this government is trying desperately to divert us from actual problems in this country, I am also glad to see the DC was so lucky in the ticket lottery, he seems to be at every event
