can't hurt, can it.

i think you may have to find the money (if your claim is above 1500) to file the aq before the 30th if you've heard nothing. be reading it through so you are familiar with it, it isn't hard. just follow this:

Allocation Questionnaires - A guide to completion

let us know what's going on. good luck - maybe today's post will bring an offer!

Well done lad - told you it would come!

Just after xmas too, eh?

No probs for the help, that's what we're here for.

As for the courts - you can fax or write to them, but I always just write them somethin like this:

____

Claim ref: xxx

Dear Sir or Madam:

REF: SETTELEMENT OF CLAIM AGAINST xxxxx

Please be advised this claim has now been settled and I wish no further action to be taken. I have received a cash settlement amount relating to the full amount claimed.

A copy of this letter has been sent to xxxxx Solicitors for their records.

Thank you for your time and effort.

____

Just out of courtesy, you could send the solicitors something like this:

_______

Dear xxxx

Thank you for the amount of £xx received in full settlement of the above calim, I have written to the court to withdraw the claim and have included a copy of th letter for your records.

_____

DO NOT withdraw the claim until you have received the cleared funds mate! :)

yes, as you don't want to halt the claim until the money is received - call the court people and explain that you have received an offer, have accepted it and ask for a 7 day delay on your aq deadline - then let dg know that the money needs to be in your hand within 7 days if they are to avoid additional (aq) charges. (personally, i think you would be ok not to file the aq - don't quote me on that - ask higher ups - but it is a bit of leverage to get the money asap). i would in fact contact the court as i said in the first sentence. also

When You Get Your Refund

and also.....................CONGRATULATIONS!

Wahey.....nice one mate..well chuffed for you...take it this means a HAPPY NEW YEAR then??? I took my letter to the courts as it was quicker than posting it as I live 5 mins away and the AQ deadline was 31st Dec. The guy at the courts said it would have been ok to phone them and then they would have made a note that settlement had been reached and allowed me to send the letter at a later date..sorry if this advice is a bit late....looks like it is all sorted with the advice above anyway...

Once again WELL DONE YOU...my wife says WELL DONE as well..we were both keeping an eye on your thread...

Martin.

BoXXer can I just comment that I read your posts from 2nd october all the way (also read the coments and replies etc) took me a hour or so to read the whole thing, I must say it read better than a hard back packed with cliff hangers, i really got the feel for all that goes on, as I am begining a claim by sending out my SARs on the 1st of jan 2007 your postings have inspired me along with many others and all the site helpers etc to really go for this.

well done####
