me too a bit spoofy!!

 

 

scan the required letters/agreements/sheets

as a picture file

remove all pers info inc barcodes etc using paint

but leave all figures and dates.

goto one of the many free online pdf converter websites

convert the image to pdf format.

or ir you have PDF as an installed printer drive use that

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

NB:you can set where it goes in the post by hitting insert inline.

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

That number is a bankruptacy number not a claim number or warrant number or local number.

 

Give your local court a ring and they will tell you if it exists

:???: what me. never heard of you never had a debt with you.

Hi .. cant find any PDF converter also cant seem to get the jpeg to the web either. Screen is non active to loading from my PC.

 

But I have emailed the court to see if the number exists,

which I dont think so as I have not received any forms or information from the courts

which I believe is a MUST because how do you defend a claim that you have no information on.

 

The Debt Collection Company in question is Advantis, based in Stoke on Trent

and if I am right in thinking this is a fruadulent attempt to extract money

and if so I will take out charges against Advantis and the collector

(if I ever get his name, although I do have a telephone number which is local)

Did he make any claims as to his status at all, eg Bailiff, process server or solicitors agent?

Absoloytely not ..

just said he was from The County Courts with reference to the bill,

told me what the bill was (which is 25% more than I actually owe).

 

Asked for the paperwork,

he said he didnt have any and shut the door in his face.

 

Got the scrappy paper pushed through the door with a telephone number.

Very odd an officer of the court is obliged to state who he and will have ID,

 

report this to your local court manager anf if it is a false claim report to the police.

 

A certificated bailiff will have absolute proof of his authority.

 

OFT Guidance also bans exagerating or claim or claiming authority that is not true.

Still no joy with PDF ..

keeps telling me the file is not in the cofrrect format.

 

I will leave it for this evening as I am getting a little wound up

 

... I will atempt to convert the file at work tomorrow and hopefully the email I sent to the countuy court may have a reply

Just thought I would update you ...

 

I have called the Swindon County Courts concerning this' 'Bailiff'

and have been informed that this is not possible

as there have been no case against me whatsover in the swindon County Courts.

 

the telephone number supplied is not know to the courts either.

 

County Courts bailiffs MUST provide the headed paper from the courts and show identification.

 

I am now in the process of letting the police know that Advantis are using Fraudulent means to get thier money.

 

I want this person whom ever he is charged.

 

Next step Trading standards and FSA and Financial Ombudsman.

Hello

 

I wish to make a complaint concerning a company called Advantis Credit Services,

based at Minton Hollings Buildings,

Sheldon Old Road,

Stoke On Trent

who are acting on behalf of British telecom

 

I have a bill with British Telecom (BT) which I placed in query with the Debt Collection Agency Advantis back in March

by requesting a full statement,

the terms and conditions of the service

and the original letter of assignment which has never arrived.

 

I am not disputing the debt just the DCA authority to process my data, but that is not the only problem

 

After I received thier letter informing me that I wias not going to get any of the items I requested

I wrote to Advantis informing them that I was putting the account into query

and that as they had indicated they were going to send a field agent

I withdrew his authourity under English Common Law to stand on my land

or I would be reporting this as a tort of Trespass.

 

I received a visit from one of thier field agents on Monday

even though I requested that they send no one

and all must be done in writing once they provided the items I requested.

 

This gentleman did not give me any name and stated that he was a 'Bailiff' from the Swindon County Courts

as BT had obtained an order of the previous Friday

(really, as I have not received any papoerwork to defend myself if they had).

 

I went out for a few minutes and on my return

I found the attatched note put through my letter box in a scruffy very large A4 envelope

 

I contacted the Swindon Combined courts the following day to enquire about this matter

and was informed that there has been no request for a County Court Bailiff

and indeed no actions recorded against me

 

This gentleman who was employed by Advantis Credit has deliberatley used fruadulant

and deceptive means to gain entrance to my home and obtain a payment from me.

 

The police have been requested to investigate this matter

(incident reference 54110042217)

as this could have given someone, especially an elderly person without any knowledge

of the requirements of the County Courts and Bailiffs Law

severe stress and other problems

as he definately used a fraudulent and decptive method to gain entry and payment

 

This gentleman could only be working for Advantis as they are the only DCA that have handled the account.

 

I also have been given to understand that his actions are an abuse of the Debt Collection guidelines

and therefore British Telecom are also culpable in this matter

I can confirm that the businesses you mention hold a consumer credit licence.

 

Under the Consumer Credit Act,

holders of consumer credit licences must be fit

and competent to do so

and the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has a duty to monitor

the fitness and conduct of all traders who hold such a licence.

 

The OFT has issued guidance to consumer credit licence holders engaged in the debt collection industry.

 

The guidance is intended to ensure that debt collectors treat individuals fairly.

 

Non-compliance with this guidance will call into question the fitness of licence holders and applicants.

and can find no place to send the details they are asking for .. Grrrr

*** UPDATE ***

 

The Wiltshire Police have now taken on the case as Fraud and Deception.

This will also implicate both Advantis and BT.

 

I have a crime reference number and can now quote that to any DCA that Advantis try to pass it on to (and BT).

 

I will now try and get Advantis with the DPA 1998 as they cannot come up with anything

that I have asked for only a one line bill that includes thier 25% for collecting

(and this is not even in the BT Terms and conditions)

You can now complain about Advantis to the OFT, it is against their guidelines to add fees on for collection that exceed actual costs, and 25% is atrocious for a fee, whatever the original bill was.

 

http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk is the link for OFT, don't forget (of course) to add the crime reference number as backup evidence they are trying to defraud you.

That was the first lot I got involved, they have all the info.

 

I now hope that BT see sense.

I was not trying to dodge the debt just seeking a little time after a really bad period

after a relationship break up when I found that there were ghosts of ghosts coming out of the cupboard

and left me in serious debt which I will admit almost cost me my life.
