Hi Everyone

Got a letter in on saturday saying they intend to enquire into my award. I live alone with my 1 and a half yr old son, im still good mates with my ex(son's dad).

they are asking me to send p60, rent agreement, council tax bill, utility bills etc, the problem i have is i was made bankrupt and my bank do not allow me to have direct debts so me and my ex had come to an arrangement that he pays all my bill through his bank and i pay him back when i get paid, which means all my bills are in his name and our rent agreement is still in joint name as he wont take his name off incase i ever wanted to move back with my parents then he wants the house..... sounds complicated and i know how its gonna look to the compliance officers......someone help please?????:(

All you can do is explain things.

However, they will probably say that its easy now to get a basic bank account with facilities to pay by DD.

The thing is my bank account does allow for DD as all them were on my account to start with but when i was made bankrupt my bank cancelled all my DD's and when i went in to ask why they told me i wasnt allowed to have them on my account as it allows me to get into debit if i dont have the money in my account to cover them so they were cancelling them, which left me owing companies money for them cancelling them and failing to tell me.

Any other advice people????

All you can do is gather as much evidence as possible. If the Revenue decide against you you have a right to make an independent appeal within 30 days of the decision.

Post by me are intended as a discussion of the issues involved, as these are of general interest to me and others on the forum. Although it is hoped such discussion will be of use to readers, before exposing yourself to risk of loss you should not rely on any principles discussed without confirming the situation with a qualified person.

Can you not set up an account with the Post Office or a building society? You could ten give your ex cash for him paying the dds -or is this a silly idea.......

Is there not a forum here dealing with bankrupts? Sorry I can't help more
