Do we know if Instantsilver has the correct licence? As far as I am aware they can't use the Link Financial one.

Hi batman, im not sure on that, Link give their address as a London PO box, Instantsilver has a Caerphilly PO box and have different registered numbers at the bottom of their letters.

Perhaps one of the more enlightened people will comment. Do Link and Instantsilver both need a separate Consumer Credit Licence. And do they both have one?

I have advice of differing opinion as how to react to Instantsilver, Some say it is best to ignore them, another is to write to them outlining that the debt is in dispute, any Caggers who can post advice are most welcome.

I have received another letter from Instantsilver today,

 

as follows

I have received a statement today from Link financial and have been receiving the every 6 months, yet the disputed debt extinguished in March 2014 due to the 5 years law in Scotland, should I send them a letter advising such ?, any advice as always welcome.

I would just ignore them. All of mine have been extinguished for more than a year now - indeed they dont even appear on my credit file any more - but one or two stagger in every so when. They are under a statutory obligation to do this if they hope to collect the debt, but on the other hand that they do this wont change the fact that they have no means of enforcement any longer. Consider it junk mail in this situation?
