Can paypal take you to court over a negative balance? I apparently owe them £40.00. They don't send emails or anything and I've recieved no letters but I've been searching the web and come across people in a similar position to me. Do you think I will get a letter about the debt collectors or will I have to go to court or anything?

Obviously you do business with them, prob ebay?

Yes, they can take you to court and they don't seem to mess around either, once you get a letter it's best to settle up unless of course they have made a mistake, if they haven't then they sue, happened to me and my lawyer said just pay them, it was about £80.

Was it a chargeback for something sold on Ebay?

Dont remember any Mods in the 90s. Plenty in the early 80s though.

Fishtail parkas with a Union Jack on the back and a zillion 1" badges on the lapels, Quadraphenia T shirts and scooters with a disproportionate number of rear view mirrors.

Hateful individuals only one step up the evolutionary ladder from punks.

Well my account first started going into negative numbers on November 3rd. However, the only email they have sent me was one saying my account would be locked after 120 days. No email or phone call saying you owe us £40.00. Seriously will this be taken further? and if so what method? phone calls? letters through the post? court dates?

The first you will hear is an early morning phone call from a DCA, probably NCO(Europe)Ltd or RMA- which is NCO in a different frock.

Then a postcard saying Mr.P. Brown or P Green will be visiting you and then lot more phone calls from their threat monkeys each day, Then a letter from their inhouse legal muppet department.
