  1. Hi guys, girls Recently my flatmate got a payday loan out from a company called 24 7 moneybox. I think it was something like £100 something like that. Anyway he just can't be arsed to pay it so he was wondering what will happen? They were sending him emails saying that they couldnt deduct the repayment from his bank because of insufficient funds in his account (not much wonder seeing as though he is on the dole and skint) anyway the emails have seemed to stop and we've not had any letters to our address from 24 7 moneybox. What further action will they take? A DCA? We was in the pub the other sunday and someone mentioned they could take him to court for fraud? What will happen because as of now weve heard nothing? thanks
  2. My friend who I'm living with at the moment has got himself into quite a bit of debt and his circumstances dont help it either. He's claiming JSA but that's probably going to be stopped soon because he was meant to attend this course and didn't go. He had a contract with 02 and theyve recently sent a disconnection letter and we've calcuated that the final bill they are going to send withing six weeks (as the letter states) will be in the region between £700 - £800. He has also got a debt with a catalogue company something like £280 and also an overdraft which he is overdrawn. He's 18 and so laid back with it all. I've offered to help him out with some of the money but he just says leave it. He can't be bothered to get a job and just sits around smoking and eating all day. What is going to be the outcome if he doesnt sort out these problems???? Court? Prison? I'm his friend what should I do??? thanks
  3. It was authorised. There is no charges and the balance due to no money been paid into the account remains overdrawn. They will take action though won't they? Their not just going to let him have £200 for nothing.
  4. My mate upgraded to a privilege account with the cooperative bank in November. He went £200 overdrawn and before his Job Seekers Allowance payment went into the bank he changed the dole money payment details so it went into his other bank account. Thus making sure the cooperative bank could not take any money off him for the overdraft. Plus the £8.00 a month monthly subscription. There seems to be no action from the cooperative bank at this stage but will they begin sending letters and making phone calls demanding the money?? and could he be taken to court??
  5. Just give me a straight answer please. I did not understand that what you just said clearly. Can you give me the process
  6. Well my account first started going into negative numbers on November 3rd. However, the only email they have sent me was one saying my account would be locked after 120 days. No email or phone call saying you owe us £40.00. Seriously will this be taken further? and if so what method? phone calls? letters through the post? court dates?
  7. How long is eventually? and how come its been a negative balance for almost two months and there has been no action taken????
  8. Can paypal take you to court over a negative balance? I apparently owe them £40.00. They don't send emails or anything and I've recieved no letters but I've been searching the web and come across people in a similar position to me. Do you think I will get a letter about the debt collectors or will I have to go to court or anything?
