Let me get this straight - you have a stick insect with only 5 legs.

Does it use a crutch?

All help is merely my opinion only - please seek legal advice if you need to as I am only qualified in SEN law.

yep, Sticko came to live with us and only had 5 legs. She then magically grew a new one.

oh and another one has hatched now :D. so now we have Speedy, Munch, Jade, Yoko, Crinkley, Twiggy and Houdini. Only another 20 or so to hatch now :)

I am slowly running out of names for the newbies, so I was wondering if I can name them after a few CAG members. I hope you lot don't mind

Some bad news today :( Crinkley passed away last night.

Although she was a bit different to her sisters, because she was all crinkley (hence the name), my family got quite attached to the little mite.

Just a quick update. 2 more babies hatched today (Kia & Dukey :D). I have managed to rehome 3 at the weekend and I am taking one into my sons primary school this afternoon.

We have had 9 hatch out so far, but one died. I have managed to re -home 4, so that leaves just 4 left at the moment.

I have a very clever tactic for re-homing them. I ask my friends kids if they would like them and they keep on at their parents until they say yes lol. It's worked so far :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Just a quick up date as I know your all dying to know what is happening

Munch, Jade, Yoko, Twiggy and Houdini have all gone to new homes.

Since then we have had a few more hatchilings:-

Kia, Honey, Locutus, Dukey, Joshy, Crusher, Dave, Pete, Freaky, Rooster, Stix & Earl.

We have rehomed Locutus and my son and I watched Speedy shed for the first time.

Sticko has still been rather reproductive and we still have more than 30 eggs to hatch out.

If anyone fancies having a sticko as a pet, please PM me and let me know :)
