Had a robot phone call today from JBDR after my argument with them on Saturday. Googled their website and was amazed to read that they specialise in recovering statute barred debt. I am intrigued now - let battle commence.

 

Anyway I can't understand why their robot rang me today. The headmistress I spoke to on Saturday was determined she was going to bankrupt me for an unenforceable debt. Maybe they were ringing to confirm my details before they issue the petition:lol:

Send a screenshot to the OFT,. FSA, Watchdog, your MP and the FOS, they shouldn't be advertising that

Still begs the question though, if an account is properly Statute Barred and if a s78 request is unfullfilled, since when can these people re-write the law? thought only the monocular Caledonian intellectually challenged person and his assorted rabble could do that, or has the law been changed whilst we wer'nt looking?

The problem is that they will be able to collect statute barred debts because the vast majority of their victims won't have a clue that the law exists. Most of their gullible victims will be terrified pensioners, single mums & first time debtors who are not wordly wise in the workings of DCAs and their nefarious trade.

The truth is though that although a debt may be Statute Barred and therfore UNENFORCEABLE in law it still exists and a DCA can ask for it.

 

Of course they can ask for it but you can always tell them to BOGOFF. I would love to hear what their technique is to get people to pay Statute Barred debts and how many laws they break. Of course they could be like Cabot and make their own laws up as they go along.

I use Sipgate as it gives you a 'local' number. Its loveely to listen to their pathetic 'urgent important business messages' when they think they have your home number

I lost the plot with the muppets of Wescot yesterday. I sent them the 'no calls' letter last week, which they appear to be ignoring.

 

The conversation went along the lines of

 

Wescot Muppet : "Is that RonnieRightHook"

RonnieRightHook : "Yes, speaking".

WM : "This is (don't recall the name) of Wescot. For security purposes can you please confirm your postcode."

RRH : "No"

WM : "I need you to answer the question for security purposes otherwise I cannot discuss this matter with you"

RRH : "Well I wrote to you last week regarding this matter - have you not read the letter?"

WM : "I can't discuss any correspondence with you until you answer the security question"

RRH : (exasperated at these muppets who have called me 12 times in the last 10 days) "Well why don't you read the letter and $£% off"

Hangs up.

 

I got a strange feeling of guilt as I had ended up swearing at someone who probably thinks they are just doing their job, but then I remember who I am dealing with and I slept fine last night.

I have been receiving calls on my from a DCA who do not say who they are (I know who they are because of Google) asking and demand I ring them urgently. I must return their calls urgently.

 

I wonder why they are afraid to say who they actually are when they leave these messages.

Talking to them quietly usually works well, then a good ole blast on the referees whistle to get their attention:D

I have been having harrassing calls from NCO Europe for the past YEAR!! On and off, in the past I just ignored them but now - I've had enough so last week a spoke to them three times (started calmly), but them I told them "F*ck &ff and take me to court"... I know they wont do that because they are chasing a STAT BARR debt from 2000!!! They just want to harrass me into paying something....

 

So now.... I've taken to shouting, swearing and warning them that if they call me again I will blow a whistle down the phone as this is harrassment!!

 

I'm going to buy a new shiney whistle tomorrow and I WILL burst their ear drum if they call me again.... My exact warnings went like this "F**K o%% you scambags..... Make a note of this on my account..... if you call me again I'm going to blow a whistle down the phone and burst your f&ckin ear drum - do you understand? Now F^ck *off you set of c*n*s!!!".......

 

Now I know that is a little harsh but after a year of hassle I've had it!!!

 

I called and spoke to the FOS about the calls and the guy I spoke to said there is NO LAW stopping from me blowing a whistle down the phone at them. (in fact he was laughting his head off at the other end!)... and he said he understood my motives for doing it.....

 

SO there you go guys lets ALL get our whistles out and start a campaign -

 

!! BLOW YOUR WHISTLE AT A DCA TODAY!!

 

I'm sure that will make them think twice about pestering people!! hee hee hee
