At the risk of being villified and although I personally applaud your actions, are you not actually acting illegally by making nuisance telephone calls??

 

I know that the DCA's do it and I fully understand it. But would a court ??

 

its just a note of caution - it would be so ironic (and typical of the justice system in this country) if you were to be successfully prosecuted for something that the DCA's get away with all the time.

 

See the point but it would be something to see, a DCA taking action for harrasment!!

That's a good point and it's crossed my mind too. But what the hell! As you say, DCA's do it. I've had 4 calls this week from Apex despite asking them twice to correspond only in writing.

 

Let us hope that if ever fuzzy gets hauled before a Judge for this, which is highly unlikely, then he/she will see it for what it is intended, i.e. the time-honoured British tradition of taking the p*ss out of people in "authority". If there's one thing we Brits do well it's that. If I were a Judge and he was found guilty, I would say "Guilty as charged, consider youself reprimanded and don't do it again, there's a good lad - by the way, could you please send me a copy of the recordings."

I'd be using the recordings as evidence. Just to see if the judge could keep a straight face while watching them.

I'm quite safe though. After all, nobody has tried to sue The Phonejacker, Spitting Image, and lots of other parody tv shows. The trick is, not to say anything personally nasty about someone that's not true. As long as what you do is obviously a parody and not to be taken seriously, then you should be quite safe.

I have to agree with Locutus & Judge Judy. Unless they can produce evidence/doucments in court, then you may as well be a DCA.

Case solved. $5000 to the claimant.

 

Been watching tons of Judge Judy for my next video. 1st Credit Promo vs Judge Judy. She is one of the most honest, decent, people I have ever seen. She's sees through scams, lies, and corperate fraud like no other.

 

I'm no fan of reaility tv, but seeing her being intervieved on and off camera. I will still say. Judge Judy and people like her should be in charge of the uk legal system. Parents vs deinquent kids/ bosses vs staff, etc. She believes in fair treatment unless records and attitude/evidence proves otherwise. Then you get what you deserve.

 

Decent peeps, let's unite and fuzzybobble the world and make it a good place to live. Not just now but for the future too.

 

Damn I sound like a cult type preacher. Only place I go wrong is not asking for money or material things. But I will never ask peeps for money to help them. Never have, never will.

Then being on the CAG, you're halfway there. Lots of people with problems, willing to help others with problems. Reading this you're at least 50% a winner. In many cases you will win outright. Spend a bit of time here and you'll soon see why.

The DCA's here rely on people being too afraid of you turning up. Most of the time they win because people don't turn up. If you don't turn up and defend, they win by default.

 

Don't ever do that or ignore the court papers thinking everything will be ok.

 

Take CAG advice and defend. Then if you win, then get a nice cheque of a few hundered quid costs.

 

Then the less profits DCA's gain, and less likely they will trry exploiting people who don't know their true rights.
