I booked a holiday with holidaynights dot co dot uk and i went to pay the remainder of it but tried to find a cheaper alternative number. i found one on sayno0870 dot com which out me through to a guy, who gave me another more direct number to ring.....so i rang it, and it said automated to pay the remainder of my holiday go to www dot trulyholidays dot com /pay..... so i put my holidaynights booking reference in, paid online....payment successful., when i tried to find out why i hadnt received a new booking confirmation, they told me they told me they couldnt find my booking reference. to cut a long story short, i paid the wrong holiday company, truly holidays took my money, a whole £342.51p and i dont know how to get it back. I rang them and a stroppy rep told me they cant do anything ...n that i should call my actual holiday company.... i then called the bank, they told me to wait until the payment has cleared then ring them back to dispute the transaction...i paid by visa debit card so not sure whats gonna happen with that. Ive emailed them with a copy attached of successful payment, ive sent this to every email address i could find....ive sent them a letter by recorded post, which im waiting on but i dont think i will get a response. i just dont know what to do? should i report it to the police and get a crime number aswell or what!! I just dont know what i can do now. That is alot of money which should have been used to pay for my holiday, but my stupid self .... :'( an ideas what to do? or does anyone have an emil address for trulyholidays.com for someone thats high up in the company? please people of UK, help me....
  2. After booking a holiday on xmas eve, i only paid the deposit. today i wanted to call up the company and pay the remainder. It was an 08444 number so i looked on the internet to find an alternative landline. I found one. yay...but then the guy on the other end gave me another number to call to pay direct.... i called it and it told me to pay online at trulyholidays dot com / pay so i did......… .then when i rang as i hadnt had a new booking confirmation, i realised i was passed pillow to post and had paid money to a company where no holiday existed ( it wasn't where i booked MY holiday ) i called this company up to be told they cant do anything and that i should call my holiday company, and see what they say. i rang the bank to try and cancel the transaction to be told it had already gone through... .but to wait 15 working days for it to clear then raise a dispute.... what does the bank mean by raise a dispute? I also contacted by email truly holidays to find out how it is they managed to let me pay for a holiday that doesnt exist on their computers, explained my situation and provided a print screen of the completed transaction....no response from truly holidays. thats 350 pounds gone and ive no idea how to get it back!!!!
  3. Whatever you do...DONT call them!! Id strongly suggest you bypass the customer service reps now and collections also. email png @ quickquid .co. uk.... put ur name and loan reference and explain ur situation. He works for final resolutions team and through him, I got my repayment plan by standing order .....and i also got a 50% discount as i managed to scrape the money together and paid it to just get rid of it. I have another contact u can use if hes no help but im pretty sure he will be.
  4. Hi, I know this has probably been asked before but I have my only default to come off on on 5th January 2015. Will it make a big difference to my credit file, especially as i dont intend on getting/having anything on credit in 2014...
  5. Wilko GOOD LUCK with Pounds to Pocket. If theyre anything like QuickQuid, their sister company, then you will struggle cos they wont take repayment plans unless its by debit card/direct debit.... ( they do of course do it by standing order too but you have to go higher than the customer service team and the collections team....
  6. Nope. No response. Nothing. I dont know what else I can do??? Also, ( a bit separate from this issue ) does anyone know if the 6 year clock starts from when a credit account opened, or from the date it was a updated/satisified/settled.....

  8. My husband has an ihpone 4s, on T-Mobile, on contract which we bought from www.buymobilephones.net in September 2012 . ... For a few weeks, since upgrading to IOS 7, hes had nothing but battery issues. We went to the Apple shop who told us to turn off some notification sets then come back if its not helped ...which it didn't. went back today, and tried to get it serviced and a replacement battery. ..to be told that it had been tampered with inside, the screws near the battery compartment weren't there and the battery was stuck down with superglue. My husband has swore blind neither he or anyone else he knows has tampered with it, and would swear under oath if we had to. I don't know what to do.. .whether we should fight it at all. ..and if so, do I fight T-Mobile or buymobilephones.net?? no idea where to go from here. any advice would be really appreciated.
  9. No update as of yet. Any correspondence was going to my sisters house and that was their last address for me but theres been nothing. Brig if ur around, I need a follow up letter ( but will I also need to include new address, and possibly provide proof of new address?)
  10. In fact. I already waited 48 hours for nothing...and now another 24 hours has gone so I sent them a long but firm complaint via their website anyway.

    Argos

    I placed an order for a treadmill, initially for me.... on their website, using my argos card (as im the additional cardholder but its in hubbys name ) but then I found out im pregnant and have been offered a new place to live. I found this news out on the morning of the delivery date..... so I tried to get in touch via email as I prefer paper traces, to stop them from delivering to me. Instead the treadmill came at 6.33pm and when I tried to tell them I wont take it, they bought it in anyway and told me they cant take it back now and needs to be collected by calling argos... well argos got back to me at 7pm, just after they left... . and the lady told me that a request for collection has been requested and that I will hear from their collection company within 48 hours. ... this 48 hours ended yesterday... I rang back this morning to be told, for some reason the computer wont let me do it so hes passed it on to some other department whos gonna contact me within 48 hours ....im so frustrated.. ..I work so cant always answer the call. .but they haven't rang yet anyway. ..ive sent countless emails and none are being answered. does anyone know of a higher up email address, I can use...or another email address I can send an email to?

Do you happen to know the address for it cos according to the ICO , for Barclaycard, I get 1 Churchill place London..... but the data controller is Clydesdale financial services so do I address to the data controller, Barclaycard, or just send straight to data controller, then address....
  15. Thanks Brig, Can you draft me a letter please if you have time so I can send tomorrow. I thought about it, and the AP started on my credit file in feb/march 2009 so if they issue it will drop off in 2015 but if I leave it, the credit file wont go until 2017 as last payment was made 2011. I know both things are bad, but is it better to have a default, or AP Markers??

  17. No, It never defaulted. I managed it by myself and no debt collectors were involved.
  18. When I logged in a few minutes ago, it says I'm 23 days in arrears and I currently owe 647 yet my repayment arrangement in place to start on Tuesday hasn't changed.
  19. Well its now at 647 for 500 loan, original was 500 loan + 94 interest.
  20. Good. The second guy mentioned, david dirzo, is higher than the resolutions team. He is the legal and compliance manager for enova...Enova is the company that provides QQ with their cash.
  21. They have agreed to freeze interest and charges, but not until I have made my first instalment...so they are within their rights for interest to accumulate until the repayment plan begins :/
  22. Hi, I have AP markers for a credit card which was settled and closed in March 2011. Do I go from this date, for it to be on my credit files for 6 years??
