  1. Homeserve are shockingly bad......... employee mostly sub contractors, anything over £100 in most cases is beyond economical repair....... the website lies, homeserve you a joke.
  2. its well known even on their boiler cover they wont replace a heat exchanger..... in their t&c's if they class it beyond economical repair, they will cancel your cover and give you £250 which is cheaper than making the repair!!
  3. what companies do you owe.... have you set up a repayment plan with wonga?? contacting them before you default is better, and surprisingly lately wonga has been quite accomadting for Caggers needing help!
  4. i guess the large o/s balance would have th rest of the contract charges. ie if it was a 12mth contract, and OP didnt pay bill, they would cut the line off, and bill rest of contract period.
  5. thats good, can i ask which company, the company that screwed me was Payday express, and i dealt with one of their managers, i have still got her email address if its them. ps sorry if i came across as harsh or judgemenal.... that wasnt my intention
  6. have you contacted the company in question to ask why??? i cleared a PDL of once, and they still took some more money.... i called, and ater discussions, they money was back in my account that day.
  7. well done morkel!! Wonga have seem to bucked the business practices up lately, but mostly only if you contact the in advance, and use those email addresses. im glad you got it sorted.
  8. so you borrowed money, and never paid it back... which company? most companies have it in theirs t&c's that they share the info.... in terms of chargeback, you bank, will look to see if these people paid into your account, if thy find they did, i very much doubt the bank will do a chargeback. its harsh, but this is what PDL's do to get their money back.

  10. what was the background to your claim? did they only miss 1 appt.... why did you try to sue them?? this is in their t&c's: • We will always give priority to call outs relating to breakdowns, Vulnerable Customers and Emergencies. • At times of high demand for Our engineers, We may have to rearrange Your appointment if it is a less urgent appointment. I tak it this is what you will have lost on... More info anyway please... as it a breakdown or annual service... and why did you take a small claims against them..???
  11. utter rubbish...... email the same email to [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] and they will accept a payment plan staightaway. that what i done, and advise everyone else here, and to date every one who has done this gets a plan sorted in a matter of hours. state over how many mths you would like to pay it ove, and ask for sort code/acc number so you can send the monthly payments.
  12. now look at their terms and conditions......... and look at british gas homecare terms and conditions..... notice tey are word for word.... but ths company also forgot to remove timechoice ( a poduct British gas offer). All it seems they have done is removed all British gas marking and put theirs in their place...... Wudnt touch these cowboys with a barge pole imo

  14. ok the insurance should only be cancelling the policy if they wouldnt have taken you on 3 years ago.... i suggest a trongly worded compaint and then if no joy FOS,FSA
  15. charges have to be fair and reasonable. a late payment charge of £25 on an £80 for example is hardly unreasonable. Think back to banks - unauthorised overdraft, bounced ddebs etc.... they had to reduce their charges as they were deemed unreasonable. even though everyone signed up to them. Not everything you sign upto in reasonable.
  16. i guess reasonable costs for car hire... my question ould be what car did he hire, and which garage did he go to that cudnt do the work for weeks!! a standard car you could rent for £150 pw so he is saying for a standard saloon he had a rental for 5weeks. he should only be renting a small call imo cos in an MG sports he only gets 2 seats, so a ca hire is almost an upgrade as it gives 5 seats! lol upgrades arent covered lol! cheeky man!
  17. Tricky: Is the company Spotizus still running... if no, probably no. plus you need to prove that he knew it was a fake. What you could do is report him to trading standards as selling fakes... they may investigate, and if they find what he is selling now are fakes, then he is in trouble.
  18. I dont it with the help and guidance fro the many threads on CAG.... i read other forums, but found these one nothing more than helpful. Other forums, are so judgemental its unreal. I had 10 i think Lendin Stream *2 247moneybox PDUK PDE LendUK Wonga WDA EarlypaydayUK Uncle Buck If I count up, i had loans totalling over £2,000. i was paying over £800 per month on rollover fees. Overtime at work was what i was surviving on... I thought enough was enough. I called everyone once then dealt after that with emails. Wonga, WDA, LendUK, and U Buck were the easit to deal with. The rest needed a bit of persuasion. PDE needed a boot up the )( cheeks. I managed to pay PDE over 2 mths, but refused to pay the rollover/interest fees. the wouldnt budge, and i told thm to take me to court. eventually after many heated telephone exchanges they backed don, and confirmed in email the account was settled and closed. The key is to close the bank account and cut their scource of pilfering as they will, and at will. I paid all by faster payment, and WDA and EPDL by ddeb. i didnt mind the ddeb, as if they tried to take more i would simply enforce the ddeb indemnity. Ive been on the count down over the 3mths, and finally today it happened... all cleared. I paid the 10 over a period of 3-6mths. the final ones being 247, EPDL, WDA & Wonga. These companies imo do serve a purpose, and they advertise how great it is to use them, and they even compare the bank charges, problem is they dont tell, what they will do when things go wrong. and its this end that needs regulated as well. There needs to be more regulation in the application stage, as its 2 easy to rack up with 10loans wheneve your takehome is £1200.... doesnt give much left over after rollovers....
  19. i actually left that account open. as we had no other debit cards, it was handy.. but when i first agreed the plans PDUK, and WONGA still repeatedly tried the card but to no avail, this all got stopped when the bank called and questioned these failed transactions, at which point i recorded these as fraudulent. Thats was the last time the bank called!! not sure if they then put a block on these 2 companies. but that account is only used as a means of paying something, and the money doesnt go in til the payment is literally being made. and is only in the accoutn seconds prior to the payment........ money is never in that account for more than 1 min!!!
  20. you need to cancel this card...... SERIOUSLY...... you might have the money there for wonga, but one of the other PDL's will nab it, Wonga will get ****ed, and hit you with all sorts.... This is why you MUST CANCEL your cards to protect the repayment plans, or you will BE BACK to square 1. EMail them again, ask for their details, and advise in the email you need these to protect your repayment plans. DO THIS NOW!!!!
  21. did you get their bank details?? you need to make this payments yourself, faster payment preferably, either by phone/or internet banking. Cancel that card as well.... PDL's including Wonga have been known to agree, and if debit card details are available then known to raid the account at will.
  22. i like your reasoning, and id love to agree, but You need to read their t&c's on the credit agreement to see if it states they will continually take interest til you say otherwise. if it states this i think they might have you over a barrel. If they were chucking on illegal charges that would be different but from your post this doesnt seem to be the case. This is my interpretation, other might disagree, and feel you could argue this.... im not so sure.
  23. absolutley no way, no need to, also the fact i had so many lenders im sure im a big black mark with each and every one.... i hope so anyway! It feels good, it will feel better next mth when i dont have any payments to pay out, and so much money to spend!!!
