  1. NIckykr seems very defensive of 123, i wonder if i rang what the chances are of a NIcky working there??? very high. The point is Nicky. people are in debt, cant afford to pay their creditors so for 123 to sort they pay them a stupid amount of money. therefore reducing the amount they could pay, and taking longer to pay. EXAMPLE: user owes 24000, and pays Payplan £100 per month, this will mean they will pay off in 20yrs user pays 123 £100pm maybe £85 will get paid to creditors meaning it will take over 23yrs to pay off. DO the sums..... it makes sense. dont pay for your DMP!!! even your creditors will tell you to ditch a fee paying dmp for a free one.
  2. also if the is more than one person listed as insured on the car.... they have no idea who was driving the car.
  3. i believe these letters from the Police are fairly standard in this scenario. Remember if the police was so concerned and intent on prosecuting, they would have attended your home, seized/photographed your car, and arrested your son.
  4. Hi Can you t3ell that the fence belongs to the house you visited? Is the damage fence still there. I would call again, and apologise. accept responsibilty. Ask them to provide you with a quotation to get fixed, and then go from there. I doubt court action would be taken if your son accepts liabilty, and the repair is made. Inform the police as well, that you have contacted the fence owner, accept liabilty, and will make the repair good. Tell your son not to worry, afterall its a fence, not a person he hit. easily repairable.
  5. the coppers generally arent interested unless they are issuing a fine. However imo this is theft. You own the phone, and the shop wont return your property.
  6. report them to the police for theft.
  7. Minicredit dont do backing down,. my friend went with payplan after having numerous loans etc, and Payplan classed Minicredit as a priority creditor...... that tells you something.
  8. these 'home emergency policies' all require a service to have been done and for you to have proof. but these policies arent worth it. Now on there website they have a link to T&c's page 49-52 is applicable to you. http://www.homeprotect.co.uk/media/90450/policy%20document.pdf in the event of a emergancy they cover upto £500 split up as as following: £100 for parts and materials, and the other £400 for 2hrs labour and call out. that wont go very far!!
  9. Also though Payplan you can buy insurances
  10. Ive never dealt with Safeloans, interesting the fact their figures keep changing.... id love to know that the judge says to them....
  11. wise up to start with... and be calm. their t &c's state they will do the Annual service in the 12mth agreement...... anywhere in the 12mth is suffice. have you had a breakdown? if so how could ou possibly think you could claim your money back? general rule of thumb for call centres.... speak nice you ill be helped..... be an arse and the agent will not help you very much at all.
  12. i asked for it in writing, as my trump card was when the my agreed the payment plan they emailled it to me and i followed it. it they made a mistake, not my problem
  13. The Lend Uk manager said they would correct it.... but that was after i demanded it be corrected, if they are not following procedure. another PDL, another battle won. took 6months mind you.
  14. well i spokt to OFT today. And i received a call from a Manager at Lend Uk. I reminded him any collection company must have a comsumer credit license, and that they should have also a business address, which i cant find at all. I also reminded him, the the business also needs to be registered, which it isnt as i had checked companies house. End result was my credit file will be corrected and thuis phantom balance written off. Thats what i call a result.
  15. i paid the payments they requested on the plan. i also reminded them i did not receive notification that the debt was being transferred.
  16. Ok so as people know last year i had a tonne of PDL's which i cleared.... However recently i have been getting telephone calls resolution recoveries...... ie lend uk and lendingstream. However to be a debt collector shouldnt this company be a licensed debt collector? have a consumer credit license? Can they use a different name but use Lend UKs license? Im trying to out them, and stop them hassling me for a pawlty amount i dont owe. The magical thing is i called hiding behind a withheld number the number left by Resolution recoveries and i called again from behind a hidden numer Lend UK and i spoke to the same person. who claims to work for neither which i know isnt true. I demanded they give their consumer credit license which they couldnt give. also googling them brings up nothing no addresses, and nothing on companies house website. isnt this a form of harassment.
  17. i would call a local engineer and get him to have a look an see if he agrees or points out the fault that SP are claiming? Did the engineer cap your boiler or leave an Immediately dangerous label.... if not why?? i would sue the thrrough a small claims for a cpl hundred quid. they will settle before. especially if it shouldve been capped and it wasnt. if thats the case id report the sub contractor to Gas Safe
  18. i believe the will allow a payment plan, but still charge interest, just not excessive charges
  19. DONT WORRY........ im sure this one popped up way last year. Its a [problem]..... they have his details, and he dont owe money too them. they are merely trying to steal his money.
  20. my campaign is too make this companies take note. i know im a one man band, but these companies made my life a misery. i will do my best to reverse roles. Now i know moby loan wasnt a great one, but its one nonetheless. they ignored the letters from ASA. but its a start. We know the bulk of these companies operate from outside the UK. they will have a virtual office, so feel invincible in whatever they do ie riad bank accounts!? what is the police/OFT/trading standards goign to do? raid a virtual office? of course not! there is nothing there bar mail
  21. The first battle is with Moby Loan www.mobyloan.com notice the testimonials? but there is no application process??? ASA has now ruled........ http://www.asa.org.uk/ASA-action/Adjudications/2012/4/Financial-Text-(FT)-Ltd/SHP_ADJ_180228.aspx The site has since been updated since i made this complaint last year. It is now under copyright 2012. there was a number in the T&C's.... i rang but with fluffed off. I have other complaints with various sources, like QuickQuid , who have no business address in the UK, but are trading against their consimer license which is due to be renewed in July. We must now show who this company trades, and the disregard for their licence.
  22. As i posted on another thread, web ads are generally targeted at your web browsing, so if your seaching payday companies, then thats what the banner ads will be.
  23. Its under embargo til Wednesday. What we need to remember is most webs ads are driven by what people are viewing on the net. Especially if you use Google Chrome.
