Electricity to Fit a Meter
ihateyes replied to Willy Wonker's topic in Utilities - Gas, Electricity, Water
if the meter is outside, they dont need a warrant as they are not coming into your home. -
my repayment plan has 1mth less, but i notice the plan is off my account page. its ok, cos they never contacted me, money paid each month by faster payment, and screen shot was taken when payment plan was agreed.

go debt did indeed do the yes car circuit. made a lot of people bankrupt, then people fought back.... Stephensons solicitors then decided to take a test case, but YEs car settled out of court, but with a confidentiality clause. im in the middle of paying this off. £1500, paid about £400. this was less than £6k that they wanted

Tesco car insurance cancellation
ihateyes replied to mazza78's topic in Insurance/Assurance Companies (Not Car Insurance)
Also as some sompanies act as a broker, and effectively pay the year up (swinton springs to mind) if you cancel they try to cover their costs. Why is OP cancelling just into contract year? if its to go to another insurer, why wasnt this done at renewal. -
I use on average 300-350 units a month with Scottish Gas, and pay an average of £32pm for electic, also a 2bed flat. No idea on gas, but that seems high. All energy companies charge to send an engr out.... if their is a fault on the meter, then they refund you the money back, if no fault found... no refund. The INitial read for gas was taken by yourself? or was it an estimate???

Cottages4you holding onto LARGE deposits after cancellation
ihateyes replied to Scattywooz's topic in General Consumer Issues

Bet365 - problems with account and deposit.
ihateyes replied to sarahlloyd's topic in General Consumer Issues
They dont actually get the money instantly.... just get authority form the bank that they will get the money. Typically you will get this back in 3 days. You may still be enititled under your 1st account, if you havent played bingo on that account. The beeting companies only ofer 1 bonus per customer, and people like me will try and set up multiple accounts, especially when i move house..... some catch on im existing customer, others give the bonus aain! -

And you told the buyer you would send it special, you didnt, and now the buyer is possibly ripping you off. Might be a hard lesson learnt. If I was the buyer id be peeved, cos im im obviously paying towards the cost of Special Delivery and you have decided to send 1st recorded... I would give you negative feedback on that alone if i was the buyer.

British Gas Homecare, a complete joke! STAY AWAY!
ihateyes replied to trevk008's topic in Utilities - Gas, Electricity, Water
That will only work for some people..... some people arent knowledgable of the costs of parts.... and should only do that if they are aware of costs, and have a boiler that doesnt break down. You see the thing is, locals gas men dont come out for free if the initial fault wasnt fixed...... If the repair doesnt work they will charge for anothe visit, and anothe part to be replaced....... ching ching .... the costs are rising!! -
They wouldnt volunteer that info to you, as they know any customer wouldnt be happy at that.... I imigine thats charges.... and the PDL would never give that money back, you would need to sar them, try and find the t&C's to make sure it was in their t&c's when you originally took the loan out... if not,..... tut tut tut
-
My point is... you called tha bank, said you didnt authorise it.... hastily the bank done a chargeback on the transaction, thus giving you acces to the funds... they then done more investigation into it, and when they discovered the money being paid in, they the rereversed the chargeback, thus alloing the oiginal payment to go to the PDL, and you now becoming overdrawn.

British Gas Homecare, a complete joke! STAY AWAY!
ihateyes replied to trevk008's topic in Utilities - Gas, Electricity, Water
Absolutely correct..... The Call Centre agents will have access to the engineers report, and if the engineer has noted in his job notes powerflush is required, that is why the agent would've advised this. -
Mr friend had them out several times, over 3 months..... after engineer visits, th sevice manager came out, and adv British Gas want to install a new boiler, as the repairs were now beyond Economical repair...... Yes my friend had a 5yr boiler, and British Gas installed it under their homecare agreement. To me its all about personal experience.
