  1. Are you sure though that halifax didnt cancel the chargeback??? Most of these PDL companies have a clause in their t&c's to allow this, but imo this is unfair, and is worth reporting to the OFT
  2. this guy has no legal right to be at your door, and you must advice the police you are petrified at the thought of this violent criminal knocking on the door, and what he might do at the house.
  3. And that is a personal experience. If you have been advised a powerflush is required, and one hasnt been carried out, thats why agreements like homecare wont fix the fault. some locals will be happy to replace that expensive heat exchanger, cos they know youll be back within mths for another one, or a powerflush!! more work for them. The unfortunate thing is people dont bother reading what is or isnt covered.... people see the £ signs and thats it.

  6. i have a bit of experience about his having worked for them...... Normally if a customer claims say a fraudulent transaction, the bank will run a search on the bank account to see if the acc holder has had dealin with the company in question. The OP got a chargeback, the halifax has subsequently searched the account and imo have found the funds being paid in by the Payday loan company. The funds were in the account when they first tried the payment. the OP got the bank to reverse it, when they discovered OP had recieved money, they felt as the money was their in the 1st place the OP know the money is indeed owed, and as a result felt the obligation to pay it..... I would imagine if there was no funds in the account when they initially tried, then the payment would have been declined. The OP has posted 3 times, but is yet to say who the company is, and says he/she 'thinks' this is owed? Has the OP applied for other Payday Loans???? Could his details have been got this way?? The OP will need to open new account, and challenge the bank on any charges they try to put on the account, as the basic bank account should not be allowed to go ovedrawn, but as above i have my reasons why imo they have allowed it in this instance.

  8. im gald you got it sorted..... but I have to say auro renewal especially for home insurance is good, and im sure you understand, in the busy world we live, its very easy to forget about something like this, and to be fair companies give us good notice....... imagine you were on holiday, and your car insurance expired, or your home insurance expired, and something happen... yuou wouldnt want to think about it really, whereas auto renewal means the cover is constant. Auto renewal is common, and really, most people knows it exists. But Then there are companies like Swinton who say they will ring, so we wait, and wait, then the agreement renews and they try to tie you in..... this i dont agree with, and SHAME ON SWINTON Ive used them before, and they tried to sting me left right and centre, i enver gave in and like yourself got the result i wanted ..... EVENTUALLY! so well done.

  10. HomeCalls directors should me sued IMO... The FSA banned them in Dec 2010 from selling insurance.... thus the reason Brit Insurance stopped takin policies, thats why now all policies from dec 3rd are null and void. However this company continued to take money from people and still accepted new custom. Also from reading around, things barely got fixed from here on in.... guess they liqudated as possibly the FSA were gonna hit em for 6. thier website is still active, and nothing mention they are fooked.....

  12. im under the same impression of above poster. Business isnt counted for NCD..... most companies have a block policy, so drivers name wont be on the policy, just as long as the are suthorised by the company. Imagine you arent entitled to NCD personally, but driving your company car during working hrs you do have NCD.... see the issue ??? I think your on a loser.... How big is the company you work for.... do they have a fleet policy.... so so, you and all the other drivers are unlikely to be named on the actual policy.
  13. On a 6 mth plan, they have had 5 payments, once july comes out i will cancel the ddeb.
  14. ring them and adv change in finanacial circumstances.... ring asap. they mau ask for i and e, dont list creditors, just incoming, outgoing.... they may want to set up ddeb.... i had no problem in doing this as if they take more than agree, you can advise bank that ddeb shouldve been cancelled as you cleared payments to the company....

  18. surprise surprise... thex text messages have started again.... 1 yesterday, 2 today from lastminutepayday.co.uk which is run by mark kennedy... Will be emailling them in the morning, and i might need to escalate this. Ive got the emails from the regulatory bodies to confirm ive done everything reasonable, and email from adma brogen and mark kennedy advising i would be permenantly removed, but it seems their system in incapable of permanently of removing my number.
  19. i agree rev..... i had 9. 3 are clear, 2 will be cleared tomorrow, and the other 5 next month NAME AND SHAME: Payday Express Shame on you lot.... The other 8 i have to say i had no problems.... except for LendUk and Lendingstream who took a life time to answer their phones. In all i rang the companies once, and then followed by emails only. In saying that WDA, Wonga, Lenduk, Uncle buck all agreed first time round

  23. Just wanting to touch base, to see if people, are having similar problems... Couple of months ago i clicked onto GroupOn, and quickly the emails started arriving everyday. I then clicked unsubscribed and followed their instructions.... to this day i still get these emails. Originally for the city i choose, then after clicking unscribe i started recieving offered for UK nationally, then america!!! I emailled them on the 28th May threatening to report to ICO, they assured me there was a technical problem and i would be removed, but to no Avail!! Anyone else having simialr problems???
