Evening all

Just a warning – Turnbull Rutherford Solicitors have today changed their name to Quarterdeck Law Ltd, with website addresses registered in Chiswick.

A thread on CAG had a poster who claimed inside knowledge similar to this but failed to add proof of similar but as yet unreportable other changes. Among other things, a move to Chiswick was predicted.

The telephones at the TR office in Wimbledon were not being answered today.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out, and whether the OFT and the Law Society/SRA have been properly informed, and whether people at the sharp end of Turnbull Rutherford’s allegedly disreputable practices will be told.

Remember – Alasdair Turnbull himself is ‘minded to revoke’ on the Law Society group licence, so maybe they are hoping a change of name will get them off the hook.

This is simply a change of name – the company is the same legal entity as before.

We await the OFT’s investigation results also – HFO Capital, HFO Services and Roxburghe are all under investigation and minded to revoke. Our dodgy cagger reckoned the latter was going to be assigned all the HFO accounts, to be litigated by the ‘new’ solicitor – which will be interesting, as they were never validated anyway by the OFT.

We’re watching you, Turnbull. Don’t do anything naughty, now.

Keep ’em peeled.

I do think Bingo is having a laugh. Quarterdeck law, as the phrase implies, was a form of colonial summary justice carried out on the high seas by the ship’s captain. So nice to see Bingo acknowledge that Turnbull Rutherford, in its new camouflage, still won’t bother with the same laws and rules that we ordinary landlubbers have to abide by.

Expect more of the same, folks. I do hope the OFT have taken note.

But he’s still the sole director. Leopards and spots.

Mr T has set up the business with the idea that should his licence be revoked, he can hand it over to mr Chall. However in the background it is the normal trios dough behind things

Trblog, your info was indeed sound, but we can’t comment on any alleged malpractice, other than the stuff we have evidence of and can therefore prove. You must understand that – however well-intentioned your motives, and however accurate your facts, they must be based in provable fact or CAG will be in trouble. We appreciate your outpourings.

You really must make sure the OFT know your the detail of malpractice you alleged. I’m sure they’d act on strong evidence.
