I didnt get a huge payout but i bought a laptop with dell. They gave me back 95 pounds and have reduced my finance payments by 5 pound a month. not a huge amount but a success at least!

Hey Davy,

Bank charge successes:

Halifax - Full settlement incl interest.

HSBC - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 75% of claim.

RBS - Settlement, goodwill no admission of liability about 70% of claim.

2 ongoing claims for bank charges with HSBC with more to come. (Supreme Court ruling could have upset these claims) They did

PPI Successes

PPI 4 settlements on 9 loans. FOS involvement on 7 added on the 8 % Statutory interest another 30% to both.

2 claims settled in full with LV without FOS involvement.

2 claims settled in full with HSBC without FOS involvement

PPI Claims ongoing with:

Cap one Now with the FOS

Barclays. Paid up today 24/04/10 cheque received for over £4,500 and in the bank.

LTSB still have to decide on this as their SAR production was abysmal. Papers data mixed up documents missing etc

1 Complaint not upheld by FOS they said it was ICO issue. Complaint upheld by ICO. See this..

Keep at them. Do not give way and do not accept all they tell you, they will delay and stall for as long as they can to prevent repaying you your mis-sold PPI.

I have just been informed by the FOS that the Halifax is also refunding us the PPI from the 2001 loan, plus interest ,plus 8% interest on top.

They had already agreed to refund the ppi from the 2004 loan.

Special thanks to Hellhasnofury and Pelham ,and to everyone on this forum ,for their advice, and for giving me courage to see this through,

Hi Just had my two cheques from Nastywest for loans in 2001 and 2003 totalling nearly £1700 - shall be banking these today!

They refused to pay stat interest so in the end I did give in and accept their goodwill offers because this will be very nice before Christmas!

But .. I do have another current ongoing PPI claim with Natwest and I won't be folding that easily because at the moment they can't produce a copy of the original signed agreement!

I'll keep my thread updated for you as soon as they get back to me (very slow at responding and I'm trying to be patient ha ha!)

W H O O P E E W H O O P E E W H O O P E E

I hadn't bothered to start a thread on my PPI because it was too straight forward! I have had a BHS Gold store card since 2004 (£250 limit) and after joining CAG decided to have a little look more closely at my statements. PPI had been charged every month, so dug out my original agreement and I had clearly written in CAPS, for 30 days only (cooling off period I presume). I didn't even bother to send a SOC and wrote to Head Office in London 3 weeks ago and got a letter today advising full refund and interest and loss of cash !!!!!!!!!!! Amounts to about £250 !

W.e.f. 1st November GE are no longer financing BHS cards and card is defunct so how it is to be refundedI do not know but it will help with some Christmas shopping and a further donation to CAG

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, you guys, I've had tears in my eyes all day, choked up. ;)

Just hope their refund comes in some form that I can spend for Christmas otherwise I am really stuffed with my kids and OH who obviously feels that the whole credit crunch and charges such as PPI and institutions such as MBNA make him feel like it's all his fault..................:(
