Hi,

I sent letter to Lloyds asking for charges back on 27/02/07 and received standard reply dated 08/03/07.

Do I still wait until the 14 days expire or can I send LBA off now ?

Advice welcomed please

Noddy

Hi Noddy.

Some people say you can send the LBA off as soon as you receive a response from your prelimary letter. I personally think its best to stick to the time frame set out in the library and wait for the 14 days.

It is entirely up to you if you want to follow the time schedule and wait.

The time schedule is set out in order to give them a fair amount of time in which to respond to your request. Well they have responded.

I sent mine straight away. The way I look at it, is their standard response is letting you know they are NOT going to do anything, so why wait to send the LBA.

I agree with Curlychic!

You give them 14 days to respond. If they respond inside that timeframe with an unsatisfactory answer, then you can proceed to the next stage.

As long as you have given them a reasonable time for them to respond (Which 14 days obviously was) then you cannot be accused of acting unreasonably.
