Hi

PARKING CONTROL MANAGEMENT (UK) LIMITED

Could someone please explain if this means no CCJ has been issued against me?  Could not attend the court as working away.

Received a letter from County Court saying:

"UPON neither party attending and the Claimant not having made a request for the claim to be considered on the papers

IT IS ORDERED THAT

1. Claim is struck out"

Thank you.

Hi and Welcome to CAG

It means the claim is no more..the court has struck out the claim as neither parties attended the hearing.

Regards

Andy

you got very lucky, the claimant failed to attend as well so nothing for the judge to decide.

you MUST have known at least 24 hours before the hearing you would be away, why on earth didnt you tell the court about this?

What would you be asking us if they had pitched up and told the judge their costs were £599 and they wnated the matter moving to the High Court for enforcement immediately?

I will tell you a likely version, you would be asking what to do about the bailiffs on your doorstep and why are they allowed to charge you £235 for being there.

as said, you were very lucky

Very lucky, if it had gone as EB said and that amount of  costs awarded, they could get a HCEO involved and the likes of DCBL and the can't pay cameras fetch up on your doorstep.

As it is you are clean and clear, phew.

The bailiff: A 12th Century solution re-branded as Enforcement Agents for the 21st Century to seize and sell debtors goods as before Oh so Dickensian!

Thanks guys.

Yes got VERY lucky - got a lot going on at the moment (family bereavement) so was not on the ball.  Did call the court couple of weeks ago to say I would be away but they said would cost to reschedule a new date.

Phew! Hopefully will not hear anymore but if I do I will be paying more attention.

Cheers
