yep simply write to the OWNERS of those debts paid thru PP that have not had a CCa request.

PP will cancel your DMP anyway when you stop asking them to pay those that don't hold CCA's that should.

let those run and see what deforestation you get before resuming payment to them..the debts might have changed hands too

PP sometimes don't tell you either!!

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Morning Bankfodder.

Just wondering with the change of addresses to send out - - do I need to put my OLD addresses down ?

Do i need to provide a CTAX bill copy to prove who I am / and my current address ?

Just covering all bases.

Thanks

Afternoon Caggers.....

Hypothetical question.......

I’ve been juggling figures and doing a lot of reading / thinking. The following seems feasible ........

All unsecured credit card debts over way over 10 years old. Basically stinky ol’ cash cow debts.

On a DMP paying minimum token payments to creditors ( £1 month each ) - monthly until death on a £25-30K debt.

Say I live for another 30 years and pay £10month

That’s £1200 every 10 years. Total £3600. ( 30 years )

That seem like a very reasonable deal to me.

BUT what would happen to the debts after you die ?

It’s just a hypothetical question and one I haven’t seen anywhere on here ? So , just thought I’d Ask.

Thanks again

Whats left in the "Estate" needs to be paid out by the executor - Mother, Children - Whoever is chosen / set as the exec.

If you only have £1500 in savings after funeral costs etc left in the estate then it would need to be distributed against the creditors in the following order...

Once you have probate or grant of administration, you can use the money in the estate to pay off the debts that aren’t covered by insurance.

Paying the debts first is more important than distributing the estate to the heirs.

You should pay off the debts in this order of importance:

- Secured debts, such as the mortgage.

- Reasonable funeral costs and the costs of administering the estate.

- Unsecured debts, such as credit cards, utility bills, unpaid rent, Council Tax and other taxes, and repayment of overpaid benefits.

If there are more debts than the estate can pay back, this is called an ‘insolvent estate’.

Most companies will close accounts etc at this point... They wont be digging up your grave to steal your £10 Mickey Mouse watch you were buried with ...

We could do with some help from you.

Evening Caggers.

So.....the 12 + 2 is up on all of the CCA's. ( on credit cards )

Still havent SAR lloyds current account overdraft yet. ( will do after the 25th )

Idem were spouting absolute nonsense that they might ' need a bit of time ' to find it.

Sainsburys provided a reconstituted one. ( promptly filed away under ignore )

As for the others........haven't heard A SINGLE THING. NOTHING WHATSOEVER.

Would like advice on next steps please.

Happy evening all.
