Dear sir/madam,

I have a few credit and store card debts over six years old and have been getting threatening letters, which I have unfortunately been ignoring.

Now, I have received a letter from the county court, regarding one of the debts, ordering me to pay back the claimant,

and if I do not pay, my goods may be removed and sold,

or other enforcement proceedings may be taken against me.

Please help me, I am desperate.

When you say the debts are over 6 years old.. do you mean that you entered into the agreements in 2008/2009 or that you have not made payments for over 6 years ?

In order to have received that Judgment from the court, there would have needed to have been a claim issued against you.

Did this happen and did you respond to the court claim by acknowledging and submitting a defence ?

Thank you for the quick response.

The agreements I believe was made in 2004/05. I am not sure of the date of my last payment.

Yes, a claim was issued, but I never got that particular letter, so I did not acknowledge or submit a defence.

If you did not receive the original claim form, then you might be able to get this set aside.

Had you moved and they sent it to the wrong address ?
