Two letters today from Citi today, one saying they will deal with my complaint within 8 weeks, the other saying they can't find my account and will need some further information.

 

Just as well I've got an old Associates statement from 2002, shall send that either today or tomorrow.

Another two letters today, one saying their Customer Relations Adviser is carrying out an investigation into my complaint.

The other letter saying they have not had a response to their letter saying they were unable to locate my account.

 

Something not right, both letters have different Reference Numbers, going to e-mail them and find out what the score is.

ah welcome to the convoluted merrygoround that is Associates/Citi CRP reclaims

 

I used to think it was gross incompetence

 

but now I think these are continuous and deliberate actions designed to dispirit claimants to the point

 

that they give up.

 

Before you know it your complaint will be passed to Opus (newday ltd) to reject (they always do)

 

After almost 2 years of this nonsense, I wrote a very strong letter to the CEO Citi Europe

 

demanding that he personally sorted my claim out, that did the trick

PLEASE HELP US TO KEEP THIS SITE RUNNING

EVERY POUND DONATED WILL HELP US TO KEEP HELPING OTHERS

 

 

 

 

Any help I am able to give is from my own experience only. Should you have any doubt you should contact a qualified professional.

Well no reply to my e-mail but letter in the post today saying they have upheld my complaint.

 

Total PPI premiums which were applied to your account... £393. 41

Plus Interest on premiums applied... £179.77

Plus 8% interest... £527.33

 

Total redress... £1,100.51

Less 20% of 8% interest applied... £105

 

Total due to you... £995.04

 

Payment will be sent in the form of a cheque, within 20 working days of receipt of your signed acceptance form.

Just a quick question... do you still have the Citi Cards address that you sent your PPI claim to?

Your probably best sending your complaint to the address they gave me when I had to reply to any of their letters.

It took just over 5 weeks from my complaint to them making their offer, good luck with your claim.

Two letters from Citi today, one thanking me for returning my acceptance form and I should receive payment within 20 working days.

 

The other a reply to my earlier e-mail apologizing for the confusion regarding sending letters saying they cannot find my account, they had been looking for a Citi Credit Card in my name along with a revolving credit account with Citifinancial.

 

Have asked me to confirm I did not have a Citi Credit Card and they will close that complaint ( the one I never made ) ?
