No! Jackie's into Restorative Justice. Normal people would expect this to be where a criminal meets the victim, apologises and perhaps does a couple of jobs.

 

Jackie's idea is to do away with the piddling little things and call Restorative Justice 'Pay Us'

You need to edit out personal info and convert it to a PDF. Just remember, when she gets desperate, she will send out multiple letters that go into pages of pseudo legal rubbish that has no basis in reality. Then she'll give up and say shes sending it to a DCA.

Wayyyyy to small I'm afraid. You are not the only one who can't convert to pdf. I see the instructions on a daily basis posted by DX but I still haven't a clue.

The webmaster of this site really should get a vbulletin mod that allows easier uploading of pdf's. Or files in general.

You install it and then when you try to print the document you use the Dopdf printer

 

It doesn't actually print anything but saves it to a file on your pc that is PDF.

 

I have another one on my other laptop but can not remember what it is

Yes, it worked.

 

It's a standard letter that we've seen before, full of the usual ifs and maybes. None of the content legitimises RLP's speculative invoice, despite all the high-falutin' legalese.

Never ever pay RLP anything. Not a single penny.

The best advice is usaully to respond with a one line reply "I deny any liability to you or your clients". Send second class from a post office, getting a certificate of posting. Then ignore all future letters (you can post here if they worry you).

 

Meanwhile, don't do it again.

Since the last post, have received 2 more letters. One saying they will pass my details onto a specialist company which recovers debts if I do not reply within 14 days. Latest says they will reduce the amount I have to pay, and they know I have been posting on here and will use this information to prove my admittance. Also says that the client is soon to make a decision as to whether to issue a claim...if I do not accept the offer of the reduced amount I will be at risk of the case proceeding.

 

Keep ignoring? I haven't sent that one liner should I? Getting different responses to that.

Hi

It doesn't matter what RLP say. They will say anything to worry you. So what if they have read this thread. There is nothing they can do. Once it reaches a debt collector, it is near the end. Two or three letters from them and they go away.

 

remember, RLP can do nothing. they can't take you to court, only Primark can and they don't so don't worry

Yup, usual bulls**t. IF it went to court (It won't) it would be a small claims court and the costs are limited so the line in the first letter is wrong.

 

RLP do not liaise with their 'client' they just tell you that to make you think they are being reasonable. they're not!

 

They mention ACPO. You also see 'initially' this is because ACPO distanced themselves from RLP after realising the nature of the business

 

I could go on and that's just the first page!

 

Specialist debt company! Hah, don't make me laugh. Just another bottom feeder attempting to chase a debt that doesn't exist.
