Hi Sunnyside,

Personally I would take the written letter approach, this way your progress can be measured against other peoples experiences and correspondence, as well as it being more official and trackable.

Good luck

I'm filling in the prelim letter and there is a section in red about defaults on your credit record. I cannot find anything about this in the step-by-step guide but am I supposed to delete this bit as I don't think I have any on my record?

Thanks

Sunny

hi there,

here is a link to the templates library

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/

when you post a new question, you will need to be in the correct forum ie:- this is the Lloyds tsb forum.

there is a "button to click on called new thread" at the top of each page, use this to post your questions, then it will be read by all the forum and you will have more chance of help.

hope this helps

Just about to email my prelim letter using the address from the bank contact details section and it says to use this email address for queries regarding technical difficulties on internet banking and questions about D/D and S/O. Does anyone have a more appropriate email address for lloyds? Otherwise I will post it to the Birmingham address.

Thanks :)

Emails are aceptable forms of communication however you can,t prove they were received it...snail mail maybey slower but atleast you get a signature to prove they received it...

LOMBARD DIRECT LBA + Default removal 25/10/06 £290.50  Received settlement but they won,t remove default

BARCLAYCARD LFB 10/9/06 £320.00

You'll find that when you get to the stage when you're trying to negotiate settlement with Lloyds, that Sechiari then act on their behalf and they do not have an email ( well not one they'll disclose) and all your communication will then have to be by mail, telephone and fax... and do bear in mind that most of us who are writing and patiently awaiting replies from Sechiari are having to cope with their "clearing dept" so even when you send or try to receive a letter counting the time after it was sent doesn't match up with the time they read it or in fact send it !

Sorry to sound pesimistic but it's from current personal experience !

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi

Is this their response to the Preliminary letter? If so stick to YOUR deadlines and send them the Letter Before Action next, don't bother giving them another 2 weeks to investigate

Good luck!

Barty :)

I WON!!!! :D :D :D

Hi Barty

Thanks for your response. I initially emailed the Prelim Letter on 25th October so they have replied to me within the 14 days but obviously with no offer. Do you think they are using delay tactics?

Sunnyside
