Hi Guitaralf,

Could you possibly email me your copy fo the ESA3, I've been requesting one since the 5th of November (even by 2 registered letters to DWP), not received any requested by numberous telephone calls and my local DWP have never heard of the form!! My housing benefit is suspended pending my confirmation of benefits!!!

Kind regards,

Xtina

ESA have made such a mess with our claim that our council tax has been put on hold since last July x have been to my local MP for help but was a waste of time. Now I am in arrears and they won't let me pay my council tax until they sort my account out. I have been querying whether we are on the right ESA for two years and still have no idea. My hubby as terminal cancer and this stress is ridiculous. Any advice on how I can sort this out?

I've asked the site team to move this to a separate thread so that you get a response from some of the experts on here.

To help, could you clarify that it is your council tax benefit that is on hold? Have the council given any reasons? Is the ESA contribution based or income based?

I've got a copy of ESA3 form, no password and printable if anyone needs it. Mods let me know if it's okay to attach it.

Regards

That would be useful, thank you. I assume you've taken off any personal info it might have had.

I'll start a new thread, didn't know this one had been reported.

Could you explain more about what is happening with the ESA claim? As asked earlier, is it contribution or income based? Are you currently being paid ESA at all? If not, have you been given any explanation for this? What did your MP attempt to do for you, and what did you ask him or her to do?

Why won't the council let you pay your council tax until they "sort the account out"? Do you mean that you aren't able to pay - which would be perfectly understandable?

A Big thank you again for Cookie for the printable version of the ESA3 as even after numerous phone calls to request the form and, promises that it will be sent out in good time before my ESA ends, this did NOT happen. Apparently the form is also unavailable from Jobcentre Plus offices in person. So, with empty promises is this a deliberate attempt to prevent re-claims or stalling for time? This would appear to be the case.

You're very welcome. I'm glad it's come in use. The more people it helps, the more glad I am that I posted it up.

The less I say about the DWP the better in this case.

Kind regards

CookieRocks
