After reading of the criminal behaviour of Certificated Bailiffs and HCEOs, DVLA oblivious to the law-breaking of their enforcement contractor and police inaction on CAG and LB, I have decided to take a stand and set up two e-petitions at Direct Gov.

One of my e-petitions is to require the police to treat bailiff and HCEO misconduct as crime, which is what it is, not civil matters, and that bailiff/HCEO powers form an integral part of police training. The link for this is : -

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/31752

The other e-petition is to terminate the contract of the DVLA's private sector enforcement contractor who has been repeatedly clamping and impounding vehicles in breach of the applicable legislation. The e-petition also calls on the government to return enforcement to the DVLA itself using directly-employed staff, not private sector contractors. The reason for this is because when DVLA had enforcement in-house, any mistakes were rectified quickly and DVLA officers apologised. This is not happening with private sector contractors. What you get with them are threats, refusals to identify themselves and claims they can clamp and seize vehicles, even though the law clearly says they cannot. The link for this is : -

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/31748

In addition to my bailiff e-petition, another e-petition to crack down on bailiff misconduct has been set up by Eric Randall. The link for this is: -

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/21095

Would you please sign these e-petitions and encourage as many people as possible to sign them, too. There is strength in numbers and once the signature tally on an e-petition hits the 100,000 mark, this triggers a debate in the House of Commons.

Things can change for the better and by encouraging people to stand up to these bullies, change will come about. The only thing stopping change taking place is apathy. Be positive, be strong and stand up for what is right.

Thank you all for your support.

I've signed the two bailiff petitions, but get this error: "Whoops! It looks like you tried to access a page that is no longer available, sorry about that.", when trying to find he DVLA petition. Do you have another link or a title for the petition please?

A couple of hundred years ago Meyer Amshel, (1743-1812), founder of the Rothschild dynasty is reported to have told his five sons, “Let me control a nation’s money and I care not who writes its laws”.

PLEASE NOTE - I am not a legal expert, what I have written is my own opinion garnered from reading this forum and consumer legislation, and my own experience of the judicial process.

If I have been helpful, please feel free to tickle my scales!!

It can be temperamental at times. If you go to epetitions.direct.gov.uk and enter DVLA into the search engine, the petition is entitled "Termination of DVLA Contractor's Contract".

Thank you for signing the two bailiff e-petitions. Bailiff and HCEO misconduct is getting out of control, as posts on CAG, LB and Bailiff Advice Online have shown. The sooner the law is tightened and the police crack down on it, instead of being complicit, the better.
