Hi,

For the past year i have been struggling with payday loan debts. I don't know what to do anymore i feel like there is no way out of this payday trap! I haven't defaulted with any lenders yet and i don't particularly want to as i don't want them phoning me constantly at work and home (i live with my parents who will kill me if they find out!!) I am currently in repayment plans with txtloan and wonga and i have only got 2 more payments left with txt loan and 4 payments with wonga which isn't a problem but the others i am really worried about as i have read that they are not easy to deal with! Here is my list of payday loan debt:

Speed-e-loans: £260

Quickquid: £640

Lending stream : £420

Safeloans: £150

Minicredit: £250

Payday express: £450

I can't afford to keep rolling them over as it is nearly taking up my entire wage!

Has anyone had any experiences in setting up repayment plans with these sharks?

I am going to try and pay minicredit off this month as i have heard they are a nightmare to deal with!

right

quite honestly this rollover business..

if you've paid the org loan off then i think it really wrong you're continually paying more and more.

i'd stop paying

as for the rest

stop talking on the phone!!

and dont rollover with them.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi all, im new and another statistic. I also have got myself in a pickle with payday loans. currently i have 5. im close to defaulting on 1, from pdex, iv sent mail after mail and phoned them....currently its at £770, and when i miss the next payment, likely to be nigh on 1k. iv told them now just send it to a dca...i dont mind, thet have no choice but to accept the 50£ pm il offer:) i have a pduk which im paying...just and a rather large wonga loan, which il probably miss a payment on then get in contact...offer as much as i can. and a few other small ones.. iv thought about a dmp, but hay, let it go to dca, offer them payment and they can not refuse. If your looking at stopping your card, ring the banks fraud office...dont say you lost it say your card details have been stolen/compermised and you want any authorised requests stopped asap. look, they cant do anything, eventually they will send it to dca then negotiate with them if your lenders wont play ball....

I am not sure that laughing at them will have any positive effect. Im my opinion make sure everything is in writing, that way should it come to it you have a paper trail that shows you have tried to negotiate. In addition , if you have copies of your agreements try to keep them, that way if they try to put even more charges on you can blow them out of the water.Wonga have tried to put 300 onto a 100 loan.

I have stupidly got myself into payday hell also. I need to do something and have not contacted anyone as yet; I owe £1200 to QQ, £518 to WDA and £422 to SS. I cannot manage any of the interest payments and feel awful as I'm terrified I may lose my house, can this happen? If anyone can offer some guidance as to whether they will all offer DMP's and whether to change bank account or not? I am also in a trust deed which is due to finish this summer, if I fail to make another payment with them, they said they will force bankruptcy which again I am terrified of incase I lose my home! Any help would be appreciated

Update:

I have contacted quickquid and payday express so far. Quickquid have been quite helpful, I asked if i could spread the payments over 6 months and freeze interest and they are willing to do so only if i default with them first. I don't particularly want to default but i think this is my only option! They are also only accepting payment by debit card or direct debit so i am thinking of getting one of those pre-paid cards. My concern with them is i don't want them harrasing me at work (they have agreed not to but i don't trust these sharks!) and i don't understand why they are being so helpful with me yet others on here are having real trouble getting a repayment plan set in place with them. Has anyone ever had a repayment plan with them and successfully repaid it all with no hitches?

Payday express on the other hand are a waste of time. They will only offer a repayment plan if i have a terminal illness or lose my job. I don't know what to do with these guys!

As for all the others i have still got to contact them about it yet.

I am fed up of being in this mess it is a never ending cycle! It is really starting to make me depressed!

If any of you have had experiences with dealing with the companies i have loans with i would be grateful if you could tell me how you dealt with them :)

Qq raided my bank account when ano agreement was in place ie rollover but because of this i got them to give me a plan for 3 months and paid them off and paid them by paypal but unfortunatly they wont take prepaid cards only debit cards and dd but once a plan is in place keep the email confirming this and only make sure on the day ur loans due that the amount u owe them is in ur account and take out any other money u have in case of a raid

Hi Lisa

Just to add to quackquack's best advice of paypal to as payment method, I paid the QQ lot over 4 months by direct debit without any problem - I will say I refused to give debit card details (they took only what was agreed) interest was frozen while there was a default charge applied which they were upfront about - which in my mind was far better then paying any rollover fee and meant I had started dealing with the problem

This is going back about 6 months and I'm now aware that they are a lot better to deal with, from what I've seen it is best to try dealing with resolution dept or their media/press office.

I suspect they have had to get majorly helpful because of the strong folk that didn't sit about 'thinking' shall I make a complaint or report but actually did - with their hard evidence which is why it pays to stay of the telephone

Whilst I consider meself fortunate in that I never had my account raided there is no guantee against it which is why I'm totally for the hassle of closing current account and opening up new account with unconnected bank/building society

Think it's protection for your secured payments which must come first - these PDL's are unsecured debt

With reference to Payday Express - I know from experience you just need to be bold and ask for their bank details and they will supply it - there is no reason whatsoever to supply debit card details especially as paying cash at the Money Shop is an available option to all

Also have a nosey round this forum at other threads nothing like being armed and knowing what to expect - lots of bank details posted up for a number of companies = power to the people :-)

Thanks for all your comments! asmilecostsnothing did you receive default letters in the post from quickquid when you were on a plan with them? Did you have phone calls at work aswell? Them are my main two concerns! I have now paid off minicredit as i have read that they are an absolute nightmare so luckily i have scraped enough money together to pay them off! Also if quickquid report a default on my credit file does that affect my parents file because they live at the same address or is it just your own?
