Thank you for your letter dated 21 June 2012, offering me a full refund of the PPIlink3.gif

I am now happy to accept the settlement as indicated on this form.

i am not aware of any guidelines/rules that allow you to dictate Confidientiality

so i have crossed this out as i believe in free speech.

Ok thanks, dx. I shall include a letter along those lines, and get it all sent off today.

I scribbled through a statement I didnt like when reclaiming Hubby's
HSBC

PPI

. They wanted him to sign away rights to make any more claims.. he had 4 other PPI claims to make !!

Having sent the first acceptance form back (with the amendment). It was then returned to Hubby with the clause reinstated.

So a complaint was made to the Financial Ombudsman who awarded compensation of £300.00.

Thank you for your input, citizenB. Crossing out the confidentiality clause does not quite equate to scribbling away rights to any more claims against the lender, but I shall still so do. Although I agree with dx100 that we should 'believe in free speech', I think I prefer not not to put such a cliche in my actual letter to them, and put instead that I believe in things being 'out in the open'. What do you, or ims21, think? PCB

What ever you feel comfortable with. There is no statement on either the FOS or FSA sites that provides a situation whereby the bank can insist on a confidentiality clause for the repayment of mis sold PPI.

Hi Poor Credit Borrower can you give me an idea what your IG Group forms looked like. Did you have a seperate application form from IG for Your PPi. Just asking as I am getting prepared for a fight. With GE and the Broker is no longer trading

Hi Anney, I am very sorry for the long delay in replying to you. I had just returned home from being away that day! I have forgotten what the I-Group forms look like, but there was definitely no separate application form for the PPI - on the main schedule it just said something like £9136 paid to Westing... (or some name like that) Administration Services, and even they may have gone into liquidation now. Yeah, the broker Loans.co.uk appear to be no longer trading, but they are being dealt with by 'administrators'. You can still write to them at Chester Business Park, Wrexham Road, Chester CH4 9FB.

I have got a settlement, so have WON!! It has been £14,870 to the nearest pound, including the 8%. Helps my finances a bit now! :-)

So do get in there and fight, anney63!! It will pay off if you persist :-)

I shall now make a small donation to CAG, which I'm not disclosing on open forum, but the site team will probably have visibility of how much I'm donating.

Hi PCB

I'll ask someone to check that it has been received for you.

Do I take it that we can update your thread title to reflect your win now?

If so, many congratulations...GE are a tough nut to crack so doubly well done :whoo:

Yes, you can update the thread title to reflect my win now!

You and dx100 (and some occasional advice from others) played a good part in assisting me in my successful claim - without the need for any claims management company!!

I hope this will not provide encouragement for other CAGgers claim missold PPI, for example, from GE ! :-)

hey wel done

so the actual outcome was the administrators of loans.co.uk coughed.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

:lol:Congratulations. You have given me a reall boost. I have been looking into Easy Loans & Sterling Direct whO I believe are one and the same. They were the brokers used by my friend. They were part of the London Scottish Bank PLC who are in administration and looking at their website they are looking at PPI Claims. So once GE send their final response I will take it from there.

Well looks like I have to go to London Scottish. Don't know if their administrators will look on things as kindly as Loans.co.uk did, but hopefully they will work with GE to get sorted. Otherwise I think it will be the end of the road as this was pre 2005 so no FSCS applies. Here's keeping my fingers crossed. !!!

Hi ...If Santander are currently the owners of PPI...but the PPI was taken out way back around 1997/8 who is it that the request should actually be addressed to...

..by the way...this was originally a Debenhams Store Card owned by GE Capital One....so who would be the correct organisation to write to

Thanks
